Hyperliquid HIP-4 to Support Permissionless Deployment of Outcome Markets, Up to 50% Fee Split
Hyperliquid stated that HIP-4 will support permissionless deployment in a future network upgrade, first on testnet, then mainnet. Similar to spot and token deployment, HIP-4 technology will require thorough testing in a validator deployment environment before expanding to permissionless deployment. The staking requirement for HIP-4 deployers is 500,000 HYPE. If a market is undefined, settlement does not comply with templates, or settlement is not completed within a week, validators can vote to slash the stake.
Like HIP-3, deployer stakes will be locked for 6 months. To unstake, deployers must settle all markets. HIP-4 deployers will be able to set a fee split of up to 50% in deployed markets, with fee configuration functionality to be released as a subsequent feature.
