Odaily Editorial Tea Chat (May 27)
- Core Viewpoint: This article presents the immediate observations of several Odaily editorial members on recent market dynamics and investment opportunities. It covers macro trends (such as tightened securities broker regulations, AI development), the SpaceX IPO opportunity, the development of the prediction market track, and new exchange movements. Aimed at providing readers with diversified perspectives and expanded information sources, this does not constitute investment advice.
- Key Elements:
- Domestic asset allocation window narrows: Restrictions on brokers like Futu and Tiger Brokers benefit the crypto market's development, but this is a strategy of "buying time."
- SpaceX IPO in focus: Planned for June 12, with a market cap of approximately $2.4 trillion. Some authors are participating via Pre-IPO platforms or Polymarket prediction markets, betting on the "Musk premium."
- Prediction market track heats up: With the World Cup approaching, Binance has listed predict.fun (blocking mainland users), while OKX and Hyperliquid are testing or preparing similar products. The key question is whether exchanges will open access to mainland users.
- Concentrated launch of new exchange products: OKX launches the Exchange OS protocol to empower OKB; Bitbit offers compliant US stock tokens; Binance launches Event Rush (event trenches), a concept similar to Meme coins, allowing small capital for high potential returns.
- Polymarket dynamics: An author's trading volume approaches $700,000. Official members hint that the POLY token generation event (TGE) is near, representing a major catalyst for the track.
This is an "unofficial" column from within the Odaily editorial team. Here, the author shares immediate thoughts and different perspectives on industry news, data, hot topics, and their nuanced details; explores investment ideas and opportunity hypotheses that are still being verified — these may not be direct "wealth code," but could simply be the questions themselves; shares observations gained from interacting with industry practitioners; and presents materials that have genuinely enhanced our understanding, whether from internal or external sources.
The content of this column is based on the real investment and observation experiences of Odaily editorial team members. It does not accept any form of commercial advertising nor does it constitute investment advice (after all, we are equally experienced in losing money). Its purpose is solely to broaden perspectives and supplement information sources, not to build consensus. Share: 1. I have quite a few things I've been wanting to complain about lately. Let's talk about the heavy-handed crackdown on brokers like Futu and Tiger. Honestly, it was expected. Many on my social feed are discussing it. I think this can be considered a landmark turning point, indicating that the window for asset allocation for people in China has narrowed further. If you don't trade Hong Kong or US stocks, the only way is to buy some high-quality assets through the limited windows of investment funds. However, there are many restrictions, not just on channels but also on amounts. Objectively, this is beneficial for the crypto market, but it's merely crypto buying time for development, trading time for space.
2. The development of AI has triggered a crisis of human existential value, even prompting the Vatican Pope to respond. I also read earlier that the two Anthropic employees who shaped Claude's 'soul' were philosophy-related academics. It makes me feel that in the era of technological explosion, reading some philosophy is quite necessary.
3. SpaceX is about to IPO. Several events I bet on Polymarket are about to settle. If you want to swoop in at the last minute, you can check them out by searching for "SpaceX."
4. The US stock market "heavy hitter," Trump, is still pushing hard. He recently pumped Micron, driving its market cap above one trillion USD. Coupled with the government's previous investment in several quantum computing concept stocks, I recommend paying attention to individual stocks like Infleqtion, RGTI, QUBT, QBTS, IONQ, and IBM.

Share: My trading frequency has been relatively low recently. My few actions include:
1. A couple of weeks ago, when crypto was performing well, I moved some of my position into US stocks. Mainly bought RKLB (planning to hold until SpaceX IPO), HOOD (betting on a strong US stock market and Q2 earnings during the World Cup cycle), and indices.
2. Farming points on xStocks: Personally, I think xStocks points currently offer a cost-effective opportunity to position for the "stock tokenization" narrative. For a passive approach, you can just statically hold xStocks stock tokens. If you're willing to monitor occasionally, you can provide LP — especially recommending STRC LP due to its minimal volatility and higher efficiency. 3. Put some stablecoins into Pendle LP on Apyx and Saturn, betting on the STRC-yielding stablecoin narrative.
4. Lost heavily on active trading in prediction markets earlier. Before the World Cup, I plan only to do hedging volume farming and market making.

Share: I've been holding long positions on spcx. SpaceX is planning its IPO on June 12th. If it doesn't hit my take-profit target, I'll likely hold until the IPO day. I think SpaceX's current market cap of around $2.4 trillion isn't particularly high; it might even challenge the $3 trillion mark on its IPO day. The logic for being bullish on SpaceX is simple: I'm buying the "Elon Musk premium." He might be the most influential person in the current US stock market besides Trump.
Plus, thanks to the development of crypto Pre-IPO platforms, ordinary people can participate in the early pricing of spcx, getting a chance to ride this wealth train. Being able to tangibly participate in the largest IPO in human history — making money is secondary. The opportunity to witness and be part of history doesn't come every day. Goldman Sachs said the SpaceX IPO is a once-in-a-generation opportunity, and that's no exaggeration.

Share: Some thoughts on the recent prediction market track. The World Cup is less than 3 weeks away, so it's a key moment for prediction markets. Binance's main exchange launched predict.fun but blocked users from Mainland China; I'm closely watching when access will open. OKX has reportedly been internally testing its self-developed prediction market platform for a long time. I'm watching if it will launch soon and whether it will open up to Mainland China users. Yesterday, the Hyperliquid HIP-4 testnet already listed World Cup-related prediction events. The mainnet launch is not far off, and the zero opening fee is quite attractive. Let's see if this motivates Binance and OKX to open access for Mainland China users sooner.

Share: In terms of operations, I've been consistently trading on Polymarket. My trading volume is close to $700,000, ranking around 22,000. I was once in the top 10,000 for profit, but I've fallen way behind now. Recently, Polymarket official members have been hinting about POLY token-related content, so the TGE is likely not far off.
Also, exchanges have started making concerted moves lately. In the past two days, the three major exchanges each dropped a bombshell: OKX launched the Exchange OS protocol to empower X Layer and OKB, directly lowering the barrier to deploying spot, perpetual, or prediction markets. Bitget launched Reality, directly linked to US stocks, backed by a compliant brokerage. The US stock tokens users buy are no longer various shitcoins; users can enjoy liquidity and get dividends. Binance launched Event Rush, where real-world events like sports matches, crypto price targets, or news can become outcome tokens, tradable like Memes. From a wealth opportunity perspective, Binance's Event Rush is worth watching. You can experiment with small capital, aiming for high rewards.
