Odaily News: Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA) has applied to exempt trust-type stablecoins from mandatory tax filing requirements starting from fiscal year 2027, including trust reports itemizing beneficiary names and incomes, as well as calculation breakdowns. The agency stated that trust-type stablecoins circulate among a large number of users, with frequent and high-volume transactions, and holders cannot derive income from them.
If approved by the legislature, the tax exemption could take effect on April 1, 2027, the start of Japan's fiscal year 2027. In July, Japan's parliament passed an amendment classifying crypto assets as financial assets under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (FIEA). (Cointelegraph)

Japanese listed company Metaplanet did not purchase Bitcoin last week, extending its streak of no Bitcoin purchases to seven consecutive weeks.
In addition, one other company announced Bitcoin purchases last week. Asset management firm Strive announced on August 31 that it spent approximately $143 million to purchase 1,800 Bitcoin at $79,431, bringing its total holdings to approximately 23,156 BTC. French Bitcoin treasury company Capital B announced it has raised €21 million (approximately $24.5 million) from investors and institutions, including Adam Back, to purchase Bitcoin.
As of press time, the total Bitcoin holdings of global listed companies (excluding mining companies) in the statistics stand at 1,147,229 BTC, up 0.6% from last week, with a current market value of approximately $89.6 billion, representing 5.7% of Bitcoin's circulating market cap.
Odaily News On August, US stocks barely managed to hold their upward momentum amidst volatility, but analysts warn that with the S&P 500 stalling at highs, the rebound in Treasury yields and valuation divergence in Nvidia have pushed the market to a critical tipping point. Despite shrinking trading volumes and narrowing index ranges, US stocks still managed to sustain their upward trend in August. After breaking through an all-time high of 7,800 points two weeks ago, the S&P 500 currently remains within 2% of its peak.
However, investors should not be fooled by this superficial "calm." Historical experience shows that September is often the worst month for US stocks, and in 2026—an election year with a strong prior market performance—seasonal factors could shift.
Veteran market commentator Michael Santoli stated that what truly warrants caution is that multiple key market indicators are in a "taut" state, and once thresholds are breached, the market's characterization could undergo a dramatic change. At the individual stock level, Nvidia (NVDA.O) is facing an awkward valuation logic trap. While analysts are generally bullish on its prospects, with consensus target prices implying a potential market cap of $7.5 trillion, the market is currently refusing to pay a premium for its high growth.
Odaily News: Bitcoin treasury company Strategy currently holds a total of 845,050 BTC, with an average cost of $75,412, and an unrealized gain of approximately $2.542 billion. Odaily Planet Daily News: Yorkville America, the asset management firm managing the Truth Social-branded ETF under Trump, is nearing the completion of an acquisition deal. The company plans to expand its product line by acquiring an institutional asset management firm, with the transaction expected to be completed in September.
Yorkville CEO Steve Neamtz stated that this acquisition will be a significant step in the company's strategic expansion, pushing its business beyond the current product line focused primarily on "America First" political-themed ETFs and into a broader range of asset management.
Meanwhile, Yorkville launched the MANGOS Plus Index ETF on Monday, which will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NYSE Texas. This is Yorkville's first ETF managed without the Truth Social brand, primarily betting on popular companies in the AI industry chain.
The index tracked by this ETF covers "MANGOS"-related companies such as Meta, Anthropic, Nvidia, Alphabet, OpenAI, and SpaceX, while also including AI-concept stocks like Micron and SanDisk. For Anthropic and OpenAI, which are not yet publicly listed, the fund will gain price exposure through perpetual futures contracts.
Steve Neamtz said this marks Yorkville's first foray into the digital asset and crypto product space. The company has also filed applications to launch approximately 12 additional ETFs over the coming weeks to months, covering themes such as the digital economy and macro strategies. (Reuters)
Odaily News: With the US primary deficit ranking first, funds are flowing into safe-haven assets. Although rising yields typically weigh on non-yielding assets, debt concerns have supported Bitcoin's 23% gain this month. In the Bitcoin options market, the notional open interest for call options in the $80,000 to $100,000 strike price range is valued in the tens of billions of dollars. This distribution indicates that capital is heavily betting on BTC breaking through the $100,000 mark in the final four months of 2026—the clearest pricing of the future price path yet, following the shift in the macro narrative.

Odaily News – Robinhood's blockchain, Robinhood Chain, has recently seen a surge in trading activity. On August 30, the network processed a record 5.52 million transactions in a single day, with on-chain applications generating approximately $2.66 million in 24-hour revenue—surpassing Ethereum's roughly $1.3 million and trailing only Solana's $5.07 million.
Meanwhile, Robinhood Chain recorded approximately $875 million in daily decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume. Among this, the two major versions of Uniswap contributed around $432 million and $357 million in trading volume, respectively.
Meme coin trading is one of the primary drivers behind this surge in activity. Data shows that Pons, a token launch platform on Robinhood Chain, created approximately 22,600 tokens in a single day, marking an increase of over 40% from the previous day. Together, GMGN, Pons, and Uniswap accounted for roughly 88% of the network's application revenue.
Robinhood launched Robinhood Chain on July 1, initially focusing on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) such as stocks. However, within just a few weeks of going live, meme coin trading quickly took center stage. Now, as the crypto market warms up, trading activity on Robinhood Chain has continued to intensify, with daily network transactions climbing from under 1 million in early July to over 5 million.
Based on current data, the most active use case on Robinhood Chain is not tokenized stocks, but rather meme coin issuance and speculative trading. (CoinDesk)
