Listed Companies' Weekly Net Purchases Surge 529.6% WoW, Strategy Resumes Accumulation After Nine Weeks

According to Odaily, based on SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 AM ET on August 31, 2026, the total net purchases of Bitcoin by global listed companies (excluding mining companies) last week amounted to $513 million, a 529.6% increase compared to the previous week.

Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) purchased 4,603 Bitcoin at $80,318 last week, spending approximately $370 million, bringing its total holdings to 845,050 BTC, marking its first purchase in nine weeks. Japanese listed company Metaplanet did not purchase Bitcoin last week, extending its streak of no Bitcoin purchases to seven consecutive weeks.

In addition, one other company announced Bitcoin purchases last week. Asset management firm Strive announced on August 31 that it spent approximately $143 million to purchase 1,800 Bitcoin at $79,431, bringing its total holdings to approximately 23,156 BTC. French Bitcoin treasury company Capital B announced it has raised €21 million (approximately $24.5 million) from investors and institutions, including Adam Back, to purchase Bitcoin.

As of press time, the total Bitcoin holdings of global listed companies (excluding mining companies) in the statistics stand at 1,147,229 BTC, up 0.6% from last week, with a current market value of approximately $89.6 billion, representing 5.7% of Bitcoin's circulating market cap.
