SK Hynix to Raise Over $29 Billion via Nasdaq Listing
Odaily News: SK Hynix plans to raise 45.45 trillion won (approximately $29.4 billion) by issuing depositary receipts on the Nasdaq exchange. The company stated in a Wednesday announcement that trading is expected to begin on July 10. The three major HBM manufacturers—Samsung Electronics, Micron Technology, and SK Hynix—are at a critical juncture in global AI buildout, with their products constituting a key bottleneck for data center expansion.
According to Counterpoint Research data, SK Hynix held a 57% global market share by revenue in Q4 2025. However, the company's valuation is relatively lower than Micron and Samsung Electronics. Strong demand for memory chips has driven these stocks' rapid rise, with SK Hynix's Korean shares surging over 300% this year. A US listing will allow the company to tap into a new investor base and potentially help narrow the valuation gap with its competitors. The offering is led by Bank of America, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase.
