Trump Supports CFTC's Exclusive Jurisdiction Over Prediction Markets
U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that it is crucial for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to retain "exclusive jurisdiction" over prediction markets, echoing the stance of CFTC Chairman Michael Selig.
Trump also stated that the U.S. is developing relevant rules, referencing his campaign promise to make the country a center for cryptocurrency and Bitcoin-related fields. Under the leadership of Chairman Selig, the sole commissioner, the CFTC has filed lawsuits and amicus briefs against multiple states to assert its jurisdiction over prediction markets. The controversy centers on whether contracts related to sports and entertainment prediction markets qualify as prediction products and whether contracts offered by regulated Designated Contract Markets (DCMs) should fall under CFTC jurisdiction.
OKX Launches Exchange OS: An Open Trading Infrastructure Built on X Layer
According to official sources, OKX has officially released the Exchange OS whitepaper. This is an open protocol built on X Layer that embeds capabilities like order matching, margin, settlement, clearing, and unified accounts into the protocol layer. Anyone can independently deploy three types of markets—spot, perpetual contracts, and prediction—on Exchange OS without platform approval. User funds are held by the protocol contract, making them inaccessible by any single entity. Both OKX's proprietary markets and external markets operate under the same set of protocol rules.
Furthermore, Exchange OS supports cross-market unified accounts, allowing users to participate in multiple market types simultaneously using the same funds.

Kenya Proposes 10% Consumption Tax on Crypto Trading Platforms
Kenya's 2026 Finance Bill proposes a 10% consumption tax on virtual asset service providers. The bill also requires crypto companies to pay a one-time licensing fee of 150 million Kenyan shillings and an annual renewal fee of 2 million Kenyan shillings before operating locally. Additionally, they must submit annual reports containing user and transaction details to the Kenya Revenue Authority.
Analysts believe this move could drive some crypto platforms and users to relocate to countries more friendly towards the crypto industry, potentially weakening Kenya's position in the African crypto market.
Although the GENIUS Act and the CLARITY Act are pushing for stablecoin compliance, stablecoins are fundamentally "private money" and may pose structural risks to the financial system.
The article points out that while stablecoins aim to combine the stability of the dollar with the payment efficiency of blockchain, they operate on fragmented, private infrastructure and lack the uniformity of the traditional dollar system. Although USDT and USDC are pegged to the dollar, their prices can still deviate from $1.

Bitget has announced the launch of Reality, a licensed financial protocol focused on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA). Its issued tokenized stocks (rTokens) are strictly pegged 1:1 to the underlying U.S. stocks. The assets are custodied with a U.S. securities broker registered with FINRA and protected by SIPC, with real-time reserve proof provided by third-party independent audits. By directly connecting to U.S. stock liquidity pools like Nasdaq and NYSE, Reality's stock tokens offer liquidity comparable to traditional brokerages. Simultaneously, stock dividends will be distributed 1:1 in token form to user accounts; cash dividends will be automatically converted to USDT. Stock splits and reverse splits will also be mirrored on-chain in real-time, offering an experience highly consistent with holding U.S. stocks.
