Robinhood is bringing the tools that were once only available to hedge funds, big banks, and quantitative institutions to everyday users, making Robinhood the best platform in the world for active traders."
Below is the official transcript of Vlad Tenev's speech, compiled by Odaily. Enjoy~
Robinhood Agents: Built Directly into the App

In May of this year, Robinhood launched Agentic Trading, allowing tech-savvy users to securely connect their own third-party AI Agents to Robinhood and let them execute actions autonomously. Since launch,more than 150,000 users have opened Agentic Trading accounts. Currently, AI Agents call Robinhood's tools nearly 30 million times per day.
The newly launched Robinhood Agents further lowers the barrier to using Agentic Trading. This feature will be integrated directly into the Robinhood App,so whether or not users are familiar with AI, they can create their own Agent to develop trading strategies, conduct in-depth research, or automatically execute trades.
Abhishek Fatehpuria, Vice President of Product Management at Robinhood, said:"Robinhood wants to establish the industry standard for Agentic Finance with safety and security at its core. Whether you're an expert or just getting started with AI, if you're not using Robinhood, you'll be at a disadvantage."
Setting up Robinhood Agents is relatively simple—users can name their Agent, open a dedicated Agentic account, then select a model from multiple leading AI labs including OpenAI, and they're ready to go. Key features include:
- Create and execute strategies: Users can chat directly with the Agent, having it analyze the market and complete trades in a short time, all without leaving the Robinhood App;
- Manage security controls: The Agent can only access funds in the account specifically opened for Agentic Trading, and users can require manual approval for every trade (this option appears during setup and is enabled by default, and can be adjusted at any time afterward);
- Continuously execute strategies through Loops: Robinhood will also launch Loops, allowing users to set a trading strategy as a continuously active long-term instruction, letting the Agent execute it repeatedly around the clock.

Robinhood Agent Apps: Further Enhancing AI Capabilities
By default, Robinhood Agents can access dozens of market data sources in the Robinhood Trading MCP, and can also read users' portfolio data.Through the newly launched Agent Apps, users can also subscribe to premium data and professional tools from 11 companies, further enhancing Robinhood Agents' analytical capabilities.
These services will be available directly within the Robinhood App. The first batch of services launching now or shortly after include the following, and all Apps will offera one-month free trial:
- Options Trader by Unusual Whales: Find options trading opportunities through real-time data and unusual trading activity monitoring, $30 per month;
- Investor Intelligence by Nasdaq: Observe investor sentiment, positioning, and confidence levels in near real-time through comprehensive data on stock and options trading activity, $10 per month;

24/7 Stock Trading

Robinhood plans to further extend stock trading hours, and after passing regulatory review, allow users totrade select U.S. stocks 24/7, including weekends. This means that when major news breaks over the weekend, users no longer have to wait until Monday's market open to trade. Steve Quirk, Chief Brokerage Officer at Robinhood, said:"Breaking news doesn't wait for the opening bell. With weekend trading coming soon, Robinhood wants to make sure users don't have to wait either, no matter what day of the week it is."
When weekend trading first launches, it will cover a curated set of stocks and ETFs, and support all account types. This service is powered by Bruce ATS, an alternative trading system for institutions that provides liquidity, system resilience, and order execution support. Jason Wallach, CEO of Bruce Markets, said:"24/7 trading will soon no longer be just a dream, but a new global standard. By partnering with Robinhood, traders can trade when they want to, rather than having Wall Street decide when trading hours are."
Robinhood Will List More Asset Types

Robinhood will further expand the types of products users can trade by launching perpetual contracts and earnings contracts.
Perpetual Contracts
Within the next few months, eligible U.S. users will be able to trade perpetual contracts directly in the Robinhood App. Supported assets include:BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK, and HYPE. Users can go long or short, and the contracts have no expiration date.
Among them, BTC and ETH perpetual contracts support up to 10x leverage; other assets support up to 3x leverage. This product is provided by Robinhood Derivatives through Bitstamp. Through the end of this year,each trade will only charge 1 basis point, or 0.01%.
In addition, users can set stop-loss and take-profit orders, view liquidation prices in real time, and receive alerts when positions are at risk.
Earnings Contracts
Ahead of the third-quarter earnings season, Robinhood will launch newEarnings Contractsin its prediction markets hub. These are a type of binary options contract provided by Cboe. Users can trade around specific corporate KPIs, such as: whether a company will beat earnings expectations; whether revenue will reach a certain target; whether a key financial metric will surpass a certain milestone.
The product will gradually become available to eligible users over the next few weeks. Subject to regulatory review, through the end of this year, Cboe will not charge fees on earnings contracts, and Robinhood will not charge any contract fees either.
The Next Phase of Robinhood Social

Robinhood Social began beta testing earlier this year and is now officially open to all eligible U.S. users. At the same time, Robinhood will also make several upgrades to this feature, including:new post types, supporting the sharing of crypto and stock charts, portfolio allocations, and profit-and-loss data; and before the third-quarter earnings season arrives, it will launch a newlive earnings feature, allowing users to watch earnings calls while trading in real time.
Next, verified market commentators from other websites, news organizations, and corporate profile pages will also be able to bring breaking market news directly into the Robinhood App, helping users stay on top of major developments at the companies they follow. At the same time, Robinhood Social will soon launch as a Legend widget, bringing the trading community directly next to the active trading terminal.
More Tools Built Around Active Trading
In addition to the products above, Robinhood also announced a series of upgrades to active trading features, including:
- Extended U.S. options trading hours: Starting in October, options trading hours will be adjusted to begin at 7:30 AM and end at 4:15 PM. For the most actively traded instruments on Robinhood,overall trading hours will increase by 35%.
- OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other) orders: Robinhood will launch OCO orders. Users can set both take-profit and stop-loss orders for a position at the same time, and when one order is filled, the other is automatically canceled. Stock OCO will launch in October, with an options version expected early next year.
- Up to 4x intraday margin: Starting next month, eligible margin account users can actively choose to get up to 4x leverage during normal market trading hours, up from the current 2x leverage. Robinhood has also put several protective measures in place, including push notifications near the close, and a one-time in-app prompt when users first enable the feature.
- Foldable phone and tablet support: In conjunction with the launch of Apple's iPhone Duo, Robinhood will release a new version of its App optimized for foldable iOS and Android phones. It will also release versions optimized for iPad and Android tablets.
- Further upgrades to Robinhood Legend: Currently, users can already run third-party AI Agents directly in Legend through Robinhood Trading MCP. Later this year, users will also be able to directly create custom indicators, such as: identifying unusual volume; marking support levels before a price pullback; scanning the market for breakout opportunities. These actions can all be done without switching windows.
- Helios performance upgrades: Legend's charts and interaction response times will be faster; mobile will support predictive loading; users can switch between pages more quickly, get the latest information, and execute trades faster.
