On April 14, Tether announced the launch of tether.wallet on platform X, describing it as a self-custodial digital wallet that brings Tether's global financial infrastructure directly to users. At launch, tether.wallet supports USD₮ on Ethereum, Polygon, Plasma, and Arbitrum; XAU₮ on Ethereum, Polygon, Plasma, and Arbitrum; USA₮ on Ethereum; and Bitcoin on-chain and via the Lightning Network. Following the initial release, the wallet will add support for other blockchains.
