Odaily reported that sources revealed US House Speaker Johnson plans to meet with Republican mega-donor Elon Musk in Texas on Friday. The meeting comes as Johnson campaigns for Republican candidates across Texas ahead of the midterm elections. It is also the latest sign that Republican leaders want Musk to make substantial contributions to help the party retain control of Congress.
Sources said Musk's schedule remains subject to change, and the meeting could be adjusted at the last minute. According to reports, the tech billionaire is considering investing at least $100 million through his super PAC "America PAC" to support Republicans in this year's midterm elections, though where the funds will ultimately be directed remains unclear. Two of the sources said some Republicans believe Musk is considering channeling part of the funds into key House Republican battleground districts. (Politico)

Among the votes, 67% were in favor, 25.16% opposed, and 7.84% abstained, with the approval rate meeting the required 2/3 supermajority threshold for passage. The proposal aims to reduce the SOL inflation rate to approximately half of its current level, effectively increasing the deflation rate to 30%. Based on current estimates, this proposal would reduce SOL issuance by approximately 18.9 million tokens over the next six years. The voting phase for the "Resource and Inclusion Fees" proposal has also concluded, with a voter participation rate of 61.14%. Among the votes, 53.9% were in favor, 18.92% opposed, and 27.18% abstained, with the approval rate failing to meet the required 2/3 supermajority threshold. This proposal sought to introduce a resource-based transaction fee mechanism, charging fees according to the network resources occupied by transactions, which was expected to increase SOL's daily burn rate from the current approximately 650 tokens to between 7,500 and 9,000 tokens.

Odaily News - Coinbase has disclosed the architecture and application of its internal AI system "CEEcil." This system is not a simple chatbot but is designed as an AI agent that functions like a "team member." It can be mentioned in Slack, and possesses long-term memory, proactive follow-up, and judgment capabilities.
CEEcil retains team context through a three-tier memory mechanism: in the background, it continuously extracts information such as decisions, blocked items, and owners from authorized channels; each night, it consolidates short-term observations into long-term summaries; and when answering questions, it retrieves historical memories, recent conversations, and real-time data on demand. The system also adopts a tiered model architecture, where simple queries are prioritized for processing via APIs or knowledge bases, and only complex, multi-step tasks are delegated to more powerful AI models, thereby reducing cost and latency.
In practical applications, CEEcil can proactively join relevant Slack discussions, send emoji reactions, and automatically follow up when issues go unaddressed. Coinbase states that the system also once refused to submit operational documents containing customer identity information to Git, suggesting the use of redacted versions or compliant storage methods instead—demonstrating a certain level of security judgment.
Architecturally, CEEcil consists of a Go service and an AI agent runtime, and connects to tools such as memory retrieval, knowledge bases, real-time queries, and Slack via MCP. Coinbase also has set up a real-time "kill switch," call limits and spending caps, audit mechanisms, and requires human review and merging of the code it generates.
Coinbase says CEEcil is now able to help teams handle production incidents and answer expert knowledge that previously would have required waiting hours to obtain. In the future, the company hopes to expand this model into multiple AI agents tailored to specific teams, enabling AI not only to "answer questions" but also to continuously remember, proactively participate, and complete actual work.

Odaily News U.S. short-term Treasury yields are rising. In a closely watched speech, Federal Reserve Chairman Warsh emphasized that the Fed needs to curb consumer price increases, thereby alleviating some market concerns about its ability to fight inflation.
During Warsh's speech, short-term Treasuries were sold off while long-term Treasuries rallied. The two-year Treasury yield rose 5 basis points to 4.28%, while the 30-year yield fell 1 basis point to 5.19%. Both moves indicate that markets expect the Federal Reserve may need to raise short-term interest rates. Bond traders have had doubts about his policy stance since Warsh held his first press conference in June. At that time, Warsh emphasized the need to curb inflation and adopted a hawkish stance.
Since the global economy reopened from the pandemic in 2021, U.S. inflation has remained above the Fed's 2% target. However, in July, the Fed again held interest rates steady, and Warsh did not indicate whether a rate hike is possible this year. Subsequently, long-term Treasury yields rose sharply as traders demanded higher returns to compensate for the risks posed by rising inflation. On Friday, Warsh warned that inflation has not shown meaningful signs of slowing and stated that policymakers must be confident that inflation is improving, or the central bank "still has work to do." He also reiterated that policymakers will bring inflation back to the 2% target, emphasizing that this goal is clear and fixed.
Odaily News: HyperliquidNews posted on X platform stating that HIP-3 DEX @hyenatrade has announced its shutdown, and will delist one project per hour from August 31 to September 2.
According to Odaily, data from Gate shows that since Federal Reserve Chair Warsh made his remarks, spot gold and silver have fallen sharply in the short term. Gold has rebounded slightly after dropping about $100 from its high, bottoming out at $4,530 per ounce, and is currently trading at $4,560 per ounce. Silver has plunged more than $1 on the day, hitting a low of $68.1 per ounce, and is currently trading at $69.0 per ounce.
Odaily News: Bitcoin News posted on X that Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said in his first Jackson Hole speech that the U.S. economy has strengthened and remains resilient, but the Fed still needs to continue addressing inflation.
Warsh stated that the labor market is consistent with full employment, with the unemployment rate at 4.1% and initial jobless claims near multi-decade lows. The personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index inflation rate over the past year was 3.7%, and the annualized inflation rate over the past six months was 4.1%, both significantly above the Fed's 2% target. 54% of items in the PCE price index basket rose by more than 3% over the past year, indicating that inflation remains fairly broad-based.
Warsh said that recent better-than-expected inflation data has not yet convinced him that the underlying inflation trend has shown substantial improvement. Credit spreads remain narrow, lending standards are relatively loose, and credit markets show little sign of policy tightening. He stated: "I find it difficult to characterize overall financial conditions as restrictive."
Warsh said the Fed should currently focus primarily on prices and reiterated that the 2% inflation target is a "firm and fixed goal." He also noted that the Fed's forward guidance "has become outdated" and that markets should no longer rely mainly on the Fed for their next trade.
Warsh stated that the criteria for initiating easing are: "We must be convinced that underlying inflation is clearly and quickly moving toward target. Otherwise, we still have work to do." He concluded his speech by saying: "I stand here today to adhere to a discipline, not to make a decision."
