Odaily Planet Daily reports that the Jackson Hole Symposium is a major focus this week. Shwetha Sunilkumar, an economist at ANZ, stated that while last year's Federal Reserve Chairman Powell bluntly stated the reasons for an upcoming rate cut at the meeting, Powell may not be as forthright this year. Sunilkumar added that Powell may indicate a high probability of further easing this year but will not commit to a specific timeline, particularly given the heightened inflation concerns following last week's stronger-than-expected July service sector and producer price data. She also noted that some regional Fed officials have become more cautious about the timeline for future easing. The bank's baseline forecast still holds that the Fed will cut rates at its September meeting. (Jinshi)
