On August 21, 2025, Matrixdock, Asia's leading real-world asset (RWA) tokenization platform and a subsidiary of the Matrixport Group, announced the successful deployment of its gold token, XAUm, on the Sui Network. This marks the first successful deployment of XAUm on a non-EVM-compatible chain, representing a significant leap forward in its technical architecture and supported network scale. The Sui Foundation will also establish a strategic reserve of XAUm, a concrete gesture of recognition for the project and further highlighting the strategic importance of tokenized gold in the on-chain asset portfolio in the Web 3 era.

XAUm is the first gold-based tokenized asset in the RWA tokenization space on the Sui Network. With the completion of XAUm's on-chain deployment and full integration with the ecosystem, users of the Sui ecosystem will be able to easily access XAUm and efficiently interact with it. XAUm has already partnered with the underlying infrastructure of the Sui Network. Pyth Network will provide XAUm with a dedicated Sui Network price feed, and Slush will also list XAUm to provide a smooth protocol interaction experience for on-chain participants. XAUm's collaboration with major DeFi protocols on the Sui Network has also entered the integration and access phase. Momentum, Navi, AlphaLend, Alphafi, and Nodo will all complete XAUm integration in due course, enriching XAUm's DeFi applications on the Sui Network.
