CMC Markets increases stake in blockchain startup StrikeX to 51%

Odaily News British online trading company CMC Markets has increased its stake in blockchain startup Strikex Technologies from 33% to 51%, gaining majority control of the company and its technology roadmap. CMC first acquired a 33% stake in Strikex in 2023, calling it a strategic investment in tokenized finance and self-custody technology. Now that Strikex has a majority stake, it has officially become a subsidiary of the CMC Markets Group, enabling it to launch products faster, obtain regulatory approvals and expand globally.
