Lawyer for Bitfinex hacker Razzlekhan asks Netflix to remove Bitcoin theft documentary

2025-01-28 14:37

Odaily News Rapper Heather "Razzlekhan" Morgan's lawyers have sent a cease-and-desist letter to Netflix and its documentary production company Library Films, accusing their documentary "Biggest Heist Ever" of invading privacy and spreading false information.
The lawyers claimed that the documentary filmed her wedding guests without their consent, violating California privacy laws, and demanded that the relevant footage be removed immediately. In addition, the lawyers pointed out that the allegations in the documentary about Morgan and her husband buying black market identity documents were unfounded and suspected of defamation. The letter also mentioned that the documentary wrongly described Morgan's father-in-law as a hacker. The lawyers warned that if Morgan did not comply with the request, he would take legal action to protect his rights. So far, Netflix has not responded to this.
Earlier news, Heather Morgan, a money laundering accomplice in the Bitfinex hacking case, was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
