Odaily News US sports betting site DraftKings has reached a settlement with the National Football League Players Association, which had previously accused the platform of failing to pay for the use of NFL players’ likenesses in NFTs.
DraftKings and the NFLPA said in a joint letter to New York federal judge Analisa Torres on Jan. 27 that they had mediated the lawsuit and reached a settlement in principle “before reaching a final settlement agreement.” The parties requested a 60-day stay of litigation and a March 28 deadline to complete the settlement. The specific details of the settlement have not been disclosed.
Judge Torres has previously handled the US SEC's lawsuit against Ripple, and the above final settlement agreement needs to be signed by him. (Cointelegraph)
