Odaily News: The CFTC Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) plans to hold a meeting at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. on July 18th to discuss decentralized finance and the recent successful lawsuit against Ooki DAO by regulatory authorities.
Christy Goldsmith Romero, the initiator of the committee and CFTC Commissioner, stated in a declaration on Wednesday, "In addition to other DeFi issues, we will also discuss decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and recent cases such as the Ooki DAO." (The Block)
In previous news, the CFTC won the lawsuit against Ooki DAO, which will be fined $643,000 and ordered to permanently shut down.
