Hyperliquid HIP-4 Will Support Permissionless Deployment of Outcome Markets, Up to 50% Fee Sharing
Hyperliquid stated that HIP-4 will support permissionless deployment in a future network upgrade, initially on the testnet, followed by the mainnet. Similar to spot and token deployment, HIP-4 technology requires thorough testing in a validator deployment environment before expanding to permissionless deployment. The staking requirement for HIP-4 deployers is 500,000 HYPE. Validators can vote to slash the stake if a market is poorly defined, the settlement does not comply with template specifications, or if settlement is not completed within a week.
As with HIP-3, the deployer's stake will be locked for 6 months. To unstake, the deployer must settle all markets. HIP-4 deployers will be able to set a fee split of up to 50% in their deployed markets, with fee configuration functionality to be introduced as a subsequent feature.
