Gate is officially launching Hong Kong stock trading services, further expanding its global securities asset coverage. Users can upgrade the Gate App to version 8.23.5 or higher and directly trade stocks listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEX) through the Gate Stocks portal. By using USDT to conveniently participate in the Hong Kong stock market, users do not need to open a separate traditional Hong Kong brokerage account or exchange Hong Kong dollars themselves, further lowering the barrier to entry for global capital markets.

As a significant expansion of Gate's stock business, the initial launch covers over 1,000 Hong Kong stock symbols. This includes high-quality listed companies on the Main Board and GEM of the HKEX with larger market capitalizations and good liquidity, such as Tencent Holdings, HSBC Holdings, Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), China Mobile, Xiaomi Group, Meituan, BYD Company, Ping An Insurance, AIA Group, and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing. Going forward, Gate will continue to expand the range of tradable symbols based on market demand and compliance requirements.

With the launch of Hong Kong stock trading, users can share the same stock account system with existing US stock products, enabling unified fund management, portfolio management, and trading experience. Users simply need to transfer USDT from their spot account or unified account to their stock account to start trading Hong Kong stocks directly. Unlike US stocks, Hong Kong stock trading is denominated in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD). Prices, portfolio market value, and profit/loss are all displayed in HKD.
