Clawdbot is going wild, highly recommended!
In simple terms, Clawdbot is about "extracting" AI from the browser and installing it into your Telegram to get things done.
Clawdbot is an open-source, self-hosted "gateway" that directly plugs an LLM (the brain) into your instant messaging software (the hands and feet).
Traditional path: Open a webpage -> Enter prompt -> Copy text -> Execute manually.
Clawdbot path: Send a command in TG/Signal -> AI automatically calls tools -> Runs code -> Returns results.
Why is Clawdbot worth paying attention to?
It addresses three major pain points in current AI applications, especially for Power Users:
⚡️ Seamless Context: No need to switch apps. Your AI assistant is like a WeChat friend, always ready in your contact list.
🛠️ True Agent Capability: It's the ultimate form of "Vibe Coding." By configuring Skills, you can use natural language on your phone to command servers to run code, send emails, and manage schedules.
🔒 Privacy & Security: Data stays on your own server. Features a unique Pairing mechanism; only accounts you approve can access your AI, rejecting strangers by default.
Clawdbot vs. Claude Cowork, what's the core difference?
🔴 Claude Cowork (Official)
Positioning: Productivity tool for workers
Scenario: Organizing documents, clicking around
Data: Hosted in the cloud
Analogy: Renting an apartment (move-in ready)
🟢 Clawdbot (Hacker/Geek)
Positioning: Private AI infrastructure
Scenario: Server monitoring, automation tasks, running Cron jobs
Data: Local First
Analogy: Building your own house (full control)
What is the Clawdbot architecture?
I think it can be simply summarized and broken down into three parts:
🧠 Agents (Brain): Connects to OpenAI, Claude, or local Llama, responsible for understanding intent.
📡 Channels (Hands & Feet): Supports WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, iMessage (CLI), responsible for sending and receiving messages.
🛡️ Gateway (Hub): Runs on your Mac or server, responsible for authentication, routing, and task distribution.
For practical uses by Crypto folks, I've briefly thought of a few things you can do with Clawdbot:
📊 On-chain Monitoring Sentinel: Combine with the Telegram Bot API to have Clawdbot periodically scrape on-chain data and send private message alerts upon detecting anomalies.
📰 Automated Macro Briefing: Automatically gather Federal Reserve updates and macro news every morning, summarize them, and push to Signal.
💻 Mobile DevOps: Send a command from your phone to directly restart services or execute backups on your home server.
Whether it's CoWork or Clawdbot, the essence is making devices smarter, gradually shifting AI from passive to active. This is also one of the core trends in AI development this year.
