In the exciting past year, the integration of AI and Web3 has developed rapidly, setting off a global craze. In this vibrant and technological intersection, Delysium has made a splash in the Korean market, and its AI technology has also won widespread praise and high praise in the industry.
In order to deeply explore the market role and influence of Delysium, as well as its far-reaching impact in the technology field, and explore the broad prospects of this comprehensive market,Odaily invited Delysium Korea Marketing Director Mike for an in-depth interview.
In this interview, Mike demonstrated his profound insights into the AI industry, elaborated on Delysium’s innovative ecosystem AI Agent Network and Web3-oriented AI operating system Lucy, and also analyzed the reasons why Delysium has caused a sensation and widespread attention in the Korean market. The reason behind it.
Delysium is committed to using AI for Web3 to build an AI Agent Network centered on user intent, creating an efficient communication and collaboration mechanism between Agents, allowing Agents to better cooperate and bring a more friendly Web3 experience to users.
Based on AI Agent Network,Lucy can connect with Agents on or off the chain to understand users’ needs and goals through natural language dialogue. At the same time, Lucy also simplifies users operations on various Web3 applications and protocols through automated workflow, making the entire Web3 experience more convenient and friendly.
Lucy covers everything from asset inquiries and transfers to more complex Web3 interactions, such as pledges, swaps, cross-chains, contract tracking and trading strategies, etc., aiming to provide hundreds of millions of users who are about to enter Web3 with simpler, more convenient and more efficient experience. Currently, Lucy supports Ethereum and BNB Chain and has accumulated more than 1.4 million independent wallet addresses.
The following is the transcript of the interview, compiled and edited by Odaily:
Odaily:Hi Mike, its an honor to have you for this interview. Can you introduce yourself and your role in Delysium?
Mike:First of all, I want to express my gratitude to you all for inviting me here for this interview. My name is Mike and I am the Marketing Director for Delysium in Korea.
I would like to start by briefly describing how I joined the Delysium team, which is related to my personal background. Looking back on 2017, the cryptocurrency industry represented by Bitcoin was extremely popular, with numerous media reports and a large number of investors pouring into this field at this time. At the time, I was serving in the military and didn’t know much about the specific dynamics of the industry. Through media reports, I initially held a relatively negative view of cryptocurrency. While in the Korean military, I witnessed people lose a lot of money investing in cryptocurrencies, and some even failed to return to the base where I was based at the time.Every time I talk to my parents, they always tell me to stay away from cryptocurrencies. Therefore, my first impression of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies was rather negative. But after leaving the army, I developed a keen interest in investing and started working at a securities company. There, I learned a lot of knowledge, including market analysis and company valuation.
Later, I happened to read a book about the history of currency development in the library. The book mentions that although the U.S. dollar is now the dominant currency, there was a period in history when Spanish silver coins occupied this position. One thing that particularly fascinates me is that after every global crisis there is some shift in the dominant currencies. The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019 was an inspiration for me (because it was very much like the time of the global crisis), and even though it sounds like a conspiracy theory, it was really important for me to start taking a serious interest in blockchain. One of the opportunities.
Subsequently, I devoted myself to in-depth research on blockchain technology and gradually realized its potential revolutionary impact. I am particularly attracted to the idea of decentralization, and I am curious about a system where no centralized individual or organization has full control. Today, almost all of our personal information is in the hands of large corporations. But there is no free lunch in the world,The “free” services provided by big companies actually come at the expense of our personal information and data. The free services they provide are not really free. For example, search engines and social media platforms collect our personal data and information while providing services. Therefore, I think blockchain-based decentralization may provide a potential solution to this problem.
At the same time, the stock and cryptocurrency markets have been extremely hot during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are many factors behind this, but I think the main reason is the massive money printing by the government. In South Korea, the government provided aid of 250,000 won (about $200) per person to tide over the crisis. However, this also brings side effects such as inflation. Although the inflation rate in South Korea is not as serious as that in the United States, data shows that the inflation rate remains high, and the consumer price index (CPI) has also increased. 10,000 won can’t buy much these days. This made me realize that there is always an inflation problem with our current monetary system, and even if I work hard to earn and save money, my money will lose value every day. Therefore, I gradually realized that mankind needs a new monetary system without inflation problems. Bitcoin is known as “digital gold”.I firmly believe that it is one of the effective solutions to our fight against inflation。
Subsequently, I started exploring more different projects and attended several blockchain events in South Korea. Along the way, I was lucky enough to get to know the Delysium team and ultimately choose to join.
Odaily: Now that we’ve talked about it, can you introduce Delysium?
Mike:certainly. Delysium is committed to using AI technology to create a communication and collaboration mechanism for Agents and form an Agent Network. Among them, Delysium pays great attention to security, scalability and high-speed communication to meet the needs of AI Agents for various purposes from entertainment to business and even government fields.
(Note: The appropriate definition of AI Agent here should be AI agent, which is an agent that can perceive the environment, make decisions and perform actions. Different from traditional AI or LLM, AI Agent has the ability to think independently and call tools to The ability to gradually complete a given goal not only tells you what to do, but also actively uses relevant tools to implement LLMs decision-making recommendations, and iteratively optimizes based on the execution results until the AI Agent considers that the task has been successfully completed. Here Agent Network enables interconnection, communication and collaboration between different AI agents.)
Delysium was originally incubated by rct AI, an AI technology company.and is backed by the worlds leading venture capital firms such as Y Combinator, Makers Fund, Galaxy Interactive, Anthos Capital and more.At present, Delysium is fully independent and is in a stage of rapid development.
We firmly believe that blockchain was born for AI, and the goal of AI is to serve mankind. To achieve this, we are trying to build an AI Agent Network in which AI Agents can not only interact with us but also communicate and collaborate with each other.
Odaily: As the Korean marketing director of Delysium, can you please explain why Delysium is so popular in Korea?
Mike:Okay, I think there are a few key reasons why Delysium is so popular in Korea: First, AI has become an extremely hot topic globally. I believe that the release of ChatGPT last year greatly stimulated many Koreans’ interest in the AI industry. Delysium has also developed a product similar to ChatGPT called Lucy, which is also the first Agent in the AI Agent Network we built. Essentially, Lucy is an AI-based Web3 operating system. Its unique feature is that it can connect various Web3 applications and protocols. Users can interact with them through natural language. By creating automated workflows, Lucy can help users simplify the Web3 field. complex operations and obtain a more user-friendly experience. Since Lucy is functionally similar to ChatGPT and focuses on the Web3 space, I believe this is the core reason why Korean users are so interested in Delysium.
Secondly, we achieved many important achievements last year, not least of which is thatDelysium has successfully established strategic partnerships with Google and Microsoft. Clearly, Delysium’s ability to partner with these two industry giants is not only a major news event, but also a key factor in winning the trust of the majority of Korean users.

In addition, Delysium has a membership system. People can become members by purchasing DMA and enjoy various benefits brought by the ecological development of AI Agent Network. During the 2021 bull market, many investors achieved significant financial success. Since then, Korean users enthusiasm for such rights has continued to grow. I think the reason why this model is so popular among Korean investors is that most Korean investors prefer to obtain passive income. Once the capital is paid back, the subsequent income is the net profit. Therefore, Delysium will receive so much attention and support in South Korea.
Finally, Delysium has been listed on Bithumb, the second largest exchange in South Korea, and has naturally attracted the attention of many Korean users. Everyone is actively participating in it. This is undoubtedly one of the best ways for us to attract new users. In addition, we have also planned many activities, including AMAs held jointly with partners, sweepstakes, and year-end celebrations for the Delysium community, which are well-loved by everyone. I firmly believe that the most effective way for a project to spread is to have community users continue to discuss it. It is precisely because of these activities that Delysiums popularity in the Korean market has rapidly increased.
Odaily: Can you tell us more about Lucy products?
Mike: As I mentioned before, Lucy is a representative AI Agent in the AI Agent Network built by Delysium.Initially, Lucy was primarily designed to support the virtual environments we were building, but then we decided to launch Lucy as a standalone product within Delysium. Once launched, Lucy has been widely loved by users. Lucy currently has more than 1.4 million unique wallet addresses and has processed numerous transactions. During the Alpha phase, we opened the Lucy experience to DMA holders and early partners, and we recently launched a beta version of Lucy for them.
We noticed that users really liked using Lucy to perform actions such as transferring tokens to different addresses because the process of using Lucy is really simple. OnlyBy talking to it and entering simple commands, Lucy can automate most of the key workflows in the Web3 world, such as buying, selling or minting tokens at a target price, buying or selling NFTs at a specific price, staking tokens, and more. In the future, we plan to introduce more features and are confident that Lucy will provide great convenience and usefulness to all Web3 users.

Odaily: As the Korean marketing director, do you think Lucy will be widely used in Korea?
Mike:In order to answer your question, I think it is necessary to give an overview of the Korean market first.
While I don’t know much about other countries, at least in South Korea, the main age group of cryptocurrency users is between 30 and 50 years old. Although cryptocurrencies attract many young investors, there are significant differences in the size of assets between users of different age groups. Therefore, the younger generation in South Korea tend to be more inclined to participate in futures trading rather than spot trading. According to a CoinDesk report, South Korea is one of the countries with the highest cryptocurrency trading volume in the world. However, Korean users’ participation in the DeFi field is relatively low, indicating that most Korean users prefer to trade on centralized exchanges.
The situation may be related to a regulation called the “Travel Rule,” which restricts Korean users from sending or receiving more than approximately $750 in assets between different exchanges. Therefore, Korean users can only use a few non-domestic exchanges. In addition, users must undergo strict approval when performing relevant operations. Currently, Korean exchanges communicate with each other through a system called VASP. Although this system simplifies the process, users still need to verify and prove that the transaction was initiated by themselves. This step still poses many obstacles.
Continuing with what I just said, in South Korea, most spot traders are from the older generation. For them, the most important thing in investment is safety. They may feel that withdrawing assets from Korean exchanges to foreign exchanges may be a very scary thing because they may lose their assets. In fact, if assets are sent to the wrong address, losses may indeed occur. So even if a project looks promising,Most Korean investors will have the mentality of preferring to be overly cautious to prevent problems before they happen.Even for me, the first time I cashed out, I was very concerned that I might lose all my money. Sometimes after a user initiates a withdrawal, it may take more than 5 minutes to complete. At this time, investors will worry about whether the transaction is really proceeding normally.
Imagine that now you have successfully withdrawn your assets to a foreign exchange or MetaMask. If you want to perform any single-currency or dual-currency pledge, you need to obtain LP tokens in the DEX before proceeding. At this point, you need to purchase the correct token to pay for gas. In addition, sometimes you also need to send assets to different chains, and then you need to use a bridge to achieve it... These operations are quite complicated.
For new users who are adapting to Web3, although I believe everyone has the ability to gradually adapt to the rules of Web3, the above-mentioned things are really unfriendly to operate. Likewise, I think this is not just a problem for Korean Web3 users, but for all Web3 users around the world. As far as my parents are concerned, I spent quite some time teaching them how to withdraw money and deposit money,I also believe that this should be the case for most of the parents’ generation around the world. But fortunately, Lucy can help everyone very well, because Lucy can automate almost all Web3 workflows. Therefore, Lucy could be a potential solution that could change the status quo.
Odaily: That sounds very informative. Can you give a few examples of features in Lucy that could help the users you mentioned?
Mike:First of all, Lucy can help users complete the most basic and common function in the blockchain world: transfer. Users only need to tell Lucy through natural language dialogue, and it can transfer assets from one wallet address to another; at the same time, With the help of LLM, Lucy can also choose the most effective workflow to achieve the users intentions and goals. For example, if a user wants to stake tokens on a certain platform, Lucy can call third-party data (including execution fees and annualized returns rates, etc.) and interfaces to plan workflows and automate execution. Of course, in addition to this, Lucy can also complete other Web3 operations, such as tracking the floor price of NFT and purchasing when the price reaches a certain level, using chain bridges to transfer tokens to different ecosystems, helping users automatically complete airdrop tasks, etc. . In the future, Lucy will develop with the Delysium community and will have more features, which will bring convenience to more users and attract them to join Web3 and get a more friendly experience.

Odaily: Let’s talk about Delysium’s newly released white paper. What do you think is the most revolutionary innovation in the Delysium V2 white paper?
Mike:Let me think about it, because I do think there are a lot of revolutionary innovations in the Delysium V2 white paper. One section explains the structure of the AI Agent Network, a system composed of different parts such as profile, memory, planning, execution, communication, etc. Of course, the most important thing is that the AI Agent Network has put a lot of effort into interoperability and accessibility, which makes communication and collaboration between Agents more efficient, and encrypted transaction records will become more secure and decentralized. change.
When we talk about “communication”, we essentially refer to how Agents interact within the framework of AI Agent Network. In the AI Agent Network, each Agent needs to obtain a unique identity to access everything in the network, which is the Agent ID. It serves as a digital “passport” for Agents, allowing them to communicate, transact, and collaborate with other members. Agent ID is crucial to maintaining order in Delysiums large and complex network, so its verification process will be very strict to ensure that every entity in the network can obtain correct and encrypted authentication, making the entire network less likely to impersonate or Risk of Fraudulent Activity.
Also within the structure is a decentralized ledger called Chronicle that encrypts and stores everything that happens on the network. At the same time, if the smart nodes and other algorithms running in the Agent Network discover unethical behavior, they will immediately identify and report it to the decentralized governance mechanism, which jointly decides whether the Agents behavior is harmful.
The AI industry is developing so fast, and it’s amazing how much they can improve productivity. In order for AI to better serve humans and avoid causing harm to humans, it is very important to set boundaries for them.
When you watch science fiction movies, there are many plots where AI and robots do a series of immoral and even seriously harmful things to society. This can really happen if we fail to set boundaries correctly. Therefore, we believe it is very important to ensure that all AI Agents can act according to ethical standards, and we are currently actively working in this direction.
Odaily: In terms of artificial intelligence, how do you see the role of AI agents in future society? How will they affect our daily lives and work?
Mike:Frankly speaking, I think artificial intelligence is a very innovative technology that has been around us for a long time, but people may not have realized it before. After ChatGPT was released, people started looking more into the AI industry, but before that, I don’t think many people were really interested in it.
For example, robot vacuum cleaners appeared on the market a long time ago. In fact, this is an intelligent agent with autonomous capabilities, but most people do not really classify this technology as artificial intelligence. Even for self-driving cars, artificial intelligence has already been deeply integrated into related technologies, but not many people really paid attention to it at first. Now, since the advent of ChatGPT, artificial intelligence has become a very hot topic all over the world, and people have begun to realize that artificial intelligence has become a part of our lives.
I first learned about artificial intelligence when AlphaGo was released, and I was shocked to see professional players being repeatedly defeated in Go games. Artificial intelligence is developing so fast, powerful, and efficient that sometimes it can really make people feel a little scared.
I believe that in the future, everyone will have their own AI Agent, just like everyone has a smartphone, and we will hand over most of our daily needs to AI Agents to make life simpler. For example, the diet AI Agent can continuously learn about the users dietary preferences and make breakfast, lunch, and dinner plans every day to make the users diet healthier. Of course, we could also have another AI Agent dedicated to buying food, which would find the best quality ingredients and complete the purchase in the most efficient way. If these two AI Agents can communicate and collaborate with each other, and can be completed by working together, then our daily lives will be much simpler. We can also tell the AI Agent our preferences, such as when they want to save money or have something specific they want to eat, just tell these two AI Agents and they can accomplish their goals very well.
Of course, we can also set up an AI Agent that specializes in email processing, because checking and recovering emails is really troublesome. With this email AI Agent, this part of the matter will be much simpler, and it can complete personalized responses based on each persons different habits. At the same time, we can also have an AI Agent that specializes in marketing, which can come up with many good ideas and formulate marketing strategies. On this basis, when the two AI Agents work together, according to the marketing AI Agents strategy, the email AI Agent will use the corresponding language to send emails to customers once necessary.
The above are actually classic examples of Agent Network. In fact, there are currently many scenarios where collaboration between Agents has been achieved. Even without development experience, ordinary users can set up this kind of workflow relatively easily. In the future, AI Agent will be used in many ways, and I believe that AI Agent will be closer and closer to our lives.
Odaily: Now that you mentioned business, dont you think other big companies might get involved? What would happen to Delysium if they stepped in?
Mike: The reality is that while we do have a product called Lucy specifically for Web3, were not trying to build the best AI Agent or the biggest language model,Our main goal is to connect all Agents together, whether they are built with OpenAI’s GPT model, Antrophics’ Claude, or an open source model like Mistral, so that they can communicate and work together more effectively.Although blockchain may not be the most efficient way to store large amounts of data, I can definitely say that blockchain is the most transparent way to store data. This is a bit ironic, but as I mentioned before with some examples of AI Agents, many companies will make heavy use of these AI Agents in the future. When that time comes, protecting private information will be especially important for everyone.
I think the reason Web3 is a hot topic is because of its transparency and decentralization. Big companies have been exploiting our data to make money, and brokerage platforms reap huge profits by charging premiums to their users. Currently, more and more individuals are becoming aware that large companies have been exploiting personal information. For enterprises, this is even more important because they have a large amount of private information. Therefore, I think enterprises are more willing to hand over their private data to safe and secure AI Agents. Since blockchain is able to encrypt this data, I think blockchain is the best way to achieve this goal. While this may be controversial, I truly believe that blockchain will be the most effective technology.

Odaily: Finally, what do you think of the blockchain industry? Are we emerging from a bear market?
Mike:The SEC just approved a Bitcoin ETF and I think more money is going to flow into the crypto world and thats the biggest bullish trend we have right now. When Bitcoin starts to rally, other coins will soon catch up and I believe that with the upcoming Bitcoin halving in April, we will enter a bull market. Historically, Bitcoin has always reached new all-time highs within a year of each halving. This time, with another catalyst on the horizon, the approval of a Bitcoin ETF, I think Bitcoin’s rally could start even faster.
In addition, the Federal Reserve said it will start lowering interest rates this year, which will show that inflation is under control, a move that will also provide relief to peoples lives. You know, people have been suffering from inflation, and theyve been getting more and more worried about their debt every day. After interest rates fall, people will have more room to invest, which will further promote the upcoming bull market.
Regarding the blockchain industry, I think this industry has become more and more mature since the last bull market. More and more people are realizing that this technology will change lives, and everyone’s awareness is also becoming more and more... Hair rich. Now that the Bitcoin ETF has been approved, I think Mass Adoption will happen very soon, by which point blockchain will play a very important role in our lives and people will be using it very closely every day. Just like we moved from paper money to credit cards in the past, we may eventually become inseparable from cryptocurrencies. I think that in the future there may be more legal regulation to make this area more standardized, and most countries will have different laws to suit their national conditions.
In South Korea, a new law regarding cryptocurrencies will be implemented starting in July this year or January next year. For the United States, many senators have also proposed new laws to protect investors, and these proposals are expected to be passed this year. Once there is regulatory intervention, I believe this field will become more mature. 8 years ago everyone was calling Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies a scam, now more people are realizing that blockchain is a revolution. As the industry becomes more widespread and orthodox, I think Mass Adoption is about to really take off.
