CDK (Chain Development Kit, in contrast to the nomenclature of SDK) is an open source framework designed to assist developers in quickly deploying L2 based on Ethereum. It provides a modular environment that enables developers to create specific application chains based on specific needs, or to smoothly transition existing L1 to L2. Just a month and a half ago, Polygon CDK was born. As of now, it has attracted 13 projects to build zk L2. There are many well-known project parties among them, such as Immutable, Manta, and Dogechain. There is also Nexon, the development company of Web2s popular games MapleStory and Dungeon Fighter.

Immutable zkEVM

Immutable zkEVMis to provide game developers with EVM compatibility, low cost, scale, and Ethereum security. Compared with Immutable X, developers can build more game types and provide players with a better experience.

The Immutable and Polygon ecosystems provide game developers with a large user base and financial support, with a combined total of over one million players and $2 billion in investment. This provides a good foundation for game development and revenue growth.

Gnosis Pay

Gnosis Pay provides infrastructure that supports numerous blockchains, tokens, DeFi protocols, and onboarding and exiting providers. Gnosis Pay is built on a decentralized custody protocol and collective asset management platform Safe, storing over $10 billion.

Gnosis Pays goal is to provide a stable and reliable payment and storage solution for application developers building applications on zk Layer 2 powered by Polygon CDK.

Wirex

WirexFounded in 2014, it is a global digital payments platform and regulated institution with the core goal of making digital assets accessible to everyone. In 2015, the company developed the first crypto-enabled payment card, giving users the option to spend cryptocurrencies and traditional currencies in real life.

Aavegotchi

Aavegotchisare digital collectibles (NFT) that exist on the Polygon blockchain. Each Aavegotchi can be customized with a variety of wearables such as hats, glasses, and other accessories that can be bought, sold, and traded as NFTs. Wearables have unique properties and characteristics that affect the Aavegotchis appearance, rarity, and gameplay abilities.

Aavegotchis is about to migrate to Gotchichain built by Polygon CDK.

CapX

IDEX

IDEX builds Xchain through Polygon CDK. According to the official website, Xchain can assist IDEX in providing gas-free transactions and improve product performance, thereby achieving deep interaction with other L2s through Polygon CDK.

Astar

Astar Network(formerly Plasm) is a multi-chain, multi-virtual machine DApp center on Polkadot, natively supporting Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), WebAssembly, Layer 2 solutions and DApp Staking.

Astar’s new L2 leverages the ease of use of Gelato, the scalability of Polygon zkEVM, and the security of Ethereum. It features local account abstraction, smart contract automation and off-chain data access, high throughput and low handling fees. Dogechain

DogechainForked from Polygon and created by Dogecoin enthusiasts and community OG members. Their vision is to bring crypto applications like NFTs, gaming, and DeFi to the Dogecoin community. Dogechain allows users to encapsulate DOGE tokens into smart contracts and then interact with projects on Dogechain. Users can use DOGE tokens to pay gas fees.

Currently Dogechain builds zk Layer 2 through Polygon CDK.

Canto

CantoIt is a public chain compatible with EVM. Make traditional company systems accessible, transparent, decentralized and free.

Canto will use Polygon CDK to build a second-layer network, bringing a richer experience to the digitalization of traditional companies through the security of Ethereum and the prosperity of the Polygon ecosystem.

Manta Network

Manta NetworkA public chain built using zero-knowledge proof, Manta Pacific is an L2 ecosystem that provides lower costs and a good experience. And leverage Celestia’s data availability for modularity to provide low gas costs.

Manta Pacific will later build L2 through Polygon CDK and deeply integrate it with the Polygon ecosystem.
