OpenWorld Signs Merger Agreement to Acquire Blocksight, AI Agents to Undertake Over $1.1 Billion in Tokenized Projects

Odaily — Nasdaq-listed company OpenWorld (OPNW) has signed a definitive merger agreement to acquire AI agent company Blocksight Holdings and plans to integrate it into the OpenWorld Enterprise platform. Blocksight Holdings' AI agents can automatically complete transaction structuring, asset data verification, investor onboarding, daily reporting, and life-cycle services, while key decisions remain subject to human approval. The deal was first announced on October 1. Over the past two weeks, OpenWorld has also signed two non-binding term sheets: on October 7 with BeyondAI for up to $130 million in intellectual property-backed financing, and on October 15 with Meridian for up to $1 billion in tokenized financing. The relevant funds will be used to build a distributed AI computing network powered by photovoltaic and residential energy storage, with initial plans to cover 10,000 households. The two financings total more than $1.1 billion.
