CryptoQuant CEO: If it's possible to deduce private keys from addresses, "no one but North Korea's Lazarus could do that."

2025-11-28 09:16

According to Odaily, in response to Upbit's theft of approximately 44.5 billion won (about 36 million US dollars) in cryptocurrency assets, CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju posted an article today stating that the attack method disclosed by Upbit is "almost impossible for an ordinary hacker to carry out."

Upbit previously stated that attackers could "infer private keys" by analyzing user wallet address patterns. Ki Young Ju bluntly stated that such attacks are technically extremely difficult, and if true, "I doubt that any hacking group other than North Korea's Lazarus could do this."
