According to Odaily Planet Daily, Alex Thorn, global research director of Galaxy Digital, said, "I still believe that the US government is likely to announce this year that it has established a strategic Bitcoin reserve and officially hold Bitcoin as a strategic asset. The market seems to have completely underestimated the possibility of such an announcement."
Other industry executives, however, are less confident. There are some signs that the plan is moving forward.
Although US President Trump signed an executive order in March to formally establish the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and the US Digital Asset Reserve, a formal strategic plan has yet to be finalized. Recent developments suggest the plan is still moving forward. On Tuesday, US lawmakers introduced a bill directing the US Treasury to review and prepare a report on the feasibility and technical considerations of a strategic Bitcoin reserve. (Cointelegraph)
