New ModStealer malware targets crypto wallets across operating systems
3hours ago
According to Odaily Planet Daily, security firm Mosyle has discovered that the ModStealer malware is targeting cryptocurrency users on macOS, Windows, and Linux systems, stealing wallet private keys and login credentials. The malware remained undetected by major antivirus engines for nearly a month after being uploaded to the VirusTotal platform. ModStealer is being spread through fake job ads, particularly targeting Web 3 developers. Once a user installs the malware package, the program embeds itself in the system's background, stealing clipboard data, taking screenshots, and executing remote commands. (Cointelegraph)
