HSBC and BNP Paribas have announced they have joined the Canton Network, a permissioned, privacy-focused blockchain popular among banks and large financial institutions. Goldman Sachs and Moody's previously joined in March of this year. The Canton Network currently utilizes a permissioned blockchain equipped with a "global synchronizer," allowing transactions and settlements across different networks without compromising data control.
