Spanish bank BBVA will leverage Ripple's technology to offer digital asset custody services to retail clients. This significant upgrade follows the launch of its Bitcoin and Ethereum trading and custody services, designed to comply with EU MiCA regulations. Ripple's custody solution is based on its previously acquired Swiss crypto custody firm Metaco, and the technology is already used in BBVA's operations in Switzerland and Turkey. (CoinDesk)
