“I’m very grateful that you guys are taking our industry seriously and that you’re actually helping to steer it in the right direction. I’ve worked with many other central banks, and I wondered, as an American citizen, why can’t I help get our financial system to the next level when the rest of the world is striving for a better financial system. So I’m very grateful at this moment that there’s finally a new consensus and adoption of these ideas.
I, like many of you, believe that cryptocurrencies, blockchains, and Web3 infrastructure will be the next iteration of the financial system. I believe the United States should continue to lead in this new financial system. I am very pleased to see that people like David Sacks, Treasury Secretary Bessant, and Commerce Secretary Lutnick are taking this issue very seriously, and I am very grateful to them.
So I'm very pleased about this, and I think it's very important to the role of the United States in the global financial system. Thank you very much."
