Compass Mining to open 30MW Bitcoin mining facility in Iowa

Odaily News Bitcoin mining company Compass Mining announced that it will open a Bitcoin mine on a five-acre site in Iowa, with plans to power 8 megawatts (MW) of capacity by January 2025 and further expand to 30 MW. The Iowa facility is part of Compass Mining's strategy to reduce its reliance on third-party operators and own and manage its own infrastructure.
