Bitcoin Spot ETFs Saw Net Inflows of $189 Million Yesterday, Hashdex DEFI Announces Delisting
According to Odaily, data from SoSoValue shows that yesterday (August 18, Eastern Time), Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded total net inflows of $189 million.
The Bitcoin spot ETF with the highest single-day net inflows yesterday was BlackRock's ETF IBIT, with net inflows of $144 million. To date, IBIT's cumulative historical net inflows have reached $61.4 billion.
Next was Fidelity's ETF FBTC, with single-day net inflows of $23.92 million, bringing FBTC's cumulative historical net inflows to $10.02 billion.
The Bitcoin spot ETF with the largest single-day net outflows yesterday was VanEck's ETF HODL, with net outflows of $16.92 million. HODL's cumulative historical net inflows currently stand at $1.07 billion.
Additionally, Hashdex's Bitcoin spot ETF DEFI has initiated closure and liquidation procedures due to factors such as asset scale, trading liquidity, and operational costs. It concluded trading on NYSE Arca on August 17 and will subsequently be delisted. The fund will liquidate its remaining Bitcoin holdings starting August 18, with cash liquidation proceeds expected to be paid to holders around August 24. According to Bloomberg data, as of July 30, DEFI's assets under management were approximately $7.28 million.
As of press time, the total net asset value of Bitcoin spot ETFs stands at $79.3 billion, with the ETF net asset ratio (market value as a percentage of Bitcoin's total market cap) reaching 6.12%. Cumulative historical net inflows have reached $52.28 billion.
