Odaily News Arthur Hayes, founder of BitMEX, posted on social media that his family office fund Maelstrom announced the launch of a Bitcoin developer grant program, which aims to promote the technological development of Bitcoin and enhance its scalability, anti-censorship and privacy features. The grant process will be open and transparent. Applications must be submitted by August 25, 2024. The grant amount for each developer ranges from US$50,000 to US$150,000, and grant funds are allowed to accumulate, with an upper limit of US$250,000 per year. The grant will be issued for 12 months and paid monthly in BTC, USDC or USDT. The grant is expected to be issued in the third and/or fourth quarters of 2024. Before issuance, applicants should be interviewed at least once with a member of the review committee.
