Mastercard launches CBDC partner program, with initial partners including Ripple, Consensys, and Fluency.

Odaily News: MasterCard is calling on a group of blockchain technology and payment service providers to join its new CBDC partner program in order to better understand the advantages and limitations of CBDCs and how to apply them in a secure, seamless, and useful manner.

The initial partners include Ripple, Web3 software company Consensys, CBDC and tokenized asset solution provider Fluency, digital identity technology provider Idemia, digital identity advisor Consult Hyperion, security technology group Giesecke+Devrient, and digital asset operating platform Fireblocks.

According to previous reports, Raj Dhamodharan, Executive Vice President at MasterCard, discussed the value transfer between public and private blockchains in an interview. He stated that the company is developing a method to allow users to wrap CBDCs, introduce them to public chains, and use them to purchase NFTs.
