Calling all crypto friends who are still playing US stocks and predicting the World Cup results: the on-chain bull run is back, fast. The Meme market has already revived. From the Solana ecosystem to the BSC ecosystem, from ANSEM to Meme coins like CZ and TCC, for Meme traders over the past month, the wealth-generating effect and frequency in the Meme market are no less than the global AI stock bull run.
The criteria for judging whether the Meme market has truly improved are twofold: first, whether there is a breakout Meme coin that opens a new ceiling for market cap and imagination; second, whether it drives a large number of non-pump-and-dump quick-run plays in the Meme market. Both criteria have now been met. The Solana Meme coin ANSEM, launched on June 28, is the breakout Meme coin of this cycle, reaching a market cap of $390 million within a week. However, signs of this Meme cycle were already emerging starting in June. (Related reading: A group of on-chain players who skipped the World Cup got rich on ANSEM)
Meme Summer is Back
Below is a list of all Meme coins whose market caps were reported in Odaily Planet Daily's flash news alerts from June to the present. Odaily's flash news monitors the Meme market in real-time and selectively pushes alerts for the market cap and gains of popular Meme coins based on internal screening criteria. Often achieving first coverage in the industry, it can serve as a Meme market indicator.

As shown above, since June, Odaily Planet Daily's flash news has reported on the market cap and gains of 10 Meme coins (counting only new Meme coins launched since June). After being first reported by Odaily's flash news, all 10 coins continued to rise. 5 coins doubled in value after the report, 4 remain profitable if held to date, and, unsurprisingly, 3 have gone to zero (market cap below $1 million).
Suppose a Meme trader invested $1,000, buying $100 worth of each of these 10 Meme coins at the time of Odaily's first report (Note from Odaily: This is merely a hypothetical scenario and does not constitute investment advice). If the strategy was to sell at double the price, the trader would still have their $1,000 principal. If all coins were held until now, the trader would have made over $5,000 in profit, a return on investment of over 500%.
Two conclusions can be drawn from the data above. First, Odaily's Meme flash news alerts can indeed serve as a reference indicator, especially now that attention on the Meme market is much lower than before. Based on strict real-time monitoring and screening criteria, non-full-time Meme traders can treat Odaily's Meme alerts as one of the "golden dog signals," allowing them to discover major memes early without needing to stare at the charts constantly. For example, when Odaily first reported on ANSEM, its market cap was only $8 million.
The second conclusion is that the Meme market has improved since June, with an increase in quick-run plays and fewer coins going to zero. Looking closely, all 10 Meme coins reported by Odaily's flash news were quick-run plays, and to date, only 3 have gone to zero.
Media is often seen as an amplifier of market sentiment, which is why the "sell the news" trading concept exists. This is no different in the Meme market, especially during bearish periods when the market cap ceiling of Meme coins is suppressed and pump-and-dump coins dominate. When a particular Meme coin gets media coverage, it often marks the peak of its lifecycle, making "sell the news" a valid strategy.
However, when the Meme market improves, the market cap ceiling opens up, and quick-run plays increase, the situation changes. Memes are, after all, an attention economy. Attention generated by FOMO, controversy, and influence eventually translates into buying pressure on the charts. Media coverage of a Meme coin can attract more users, turning "buy the news" into a profitable trading strategy.
How Much Longer Can This Meme Cycle Last?
So, how long can this Meme Summer last?
Many older Meme traders may have missed out on this wave of wealth creation, primarily because there are no new gimmicks or narratives. Instead, the market is falling back on the oldest concept: celebrity coins. Take Solana's ANSEM, for example. It relies on Ansem (real name Zion Thomas), a major figure in Solana Memes, to continuously endorse and promote it, creating buzz by airdropping and sending money to his followers.
ANSEM also spurred the current Meme cycle on the BSC ecosystem. The two Meme coins with the highest market caps, CZ and TCC, are both marketed as "the next ANSEM on BSC." The Meme coin CZ shares its name with Binance founder CZ and uses a "bullified image" of CZ wearing a Binance hoodie as its meme symbol. The Meme coin TCC shares its name with Meme KOL TCC (X: @TCryptochicks) and gained attention after CZ commented on one of its related tweets. TCC is also replicating Ansem's strategy of airdropping to the community.

Besides not escaping the realm of celebrity coins, another characteristic of this Meme cycle is the popularity of distributing coins and locking mechanisms. Some argue this isn't innovation but rather a Meme playstyle born during the bear market when liquidity was scarce, essentially a "fake prosperity" created by quickly inflating a Meme's market cap to attract hot money. To make liquidity even scarcer, coins are often distributed to those unlikely or unable to sell. For example, it was discovered that Ansem's early airdrops went to his inner circle who wouldn't easily sell. Similarly, the Meme coin CZ transferred 70% of its supply to CZ himself.
While the narrative might be old wine in an old bottle, the wealth generated on-chain is real. Don't doubt the market; the market is always right. A famous saying in the crypto space goes, "Even a dumb consensus is still a consensus." What's certain is that the market's focus has shifted from Solana to the BSC Meme ecosystem. In response to the frenzy over BSC Meme coins on the afternoon of July 6, CZ posted, "May the best Meme win."
The stage is set, and the most important audience is seated. Just based on this, it's safe to say this Meme carnival is not over yet.
