There are enough projects at the bottom of the price right now that the market cap is ridiculously low. This makes it possible to complete a relatively large increase in 2023. On the other hand, there are many innovative and unissued projects that will also be launched. Here is a list of them:
There have been many predictions about which projects, sectors and narratives will do well in 2023. So, this isn't another prediction, but where I'm going to put my chips and why.
concentrated liquidity
concentrated liquidity
Become more useful to common users/treasuries, and actually become profitable - at least the loss will be minimized.
Uniswap V3 is great if you know what you're doing, but most people don't.
Active management is also a big barrier to entry for the average user.
As an investment, UNI is not the focus of my attention. For me, I'm more interested in projects built on top of V3 and CL.
Arrakis Finance and PALM make POL a breeze while leveraging Uni v3. Panoptic Leverages the Depth of Uni v3 Liquidity to Offer Options…
Other players on centralized liquidity:
Trader Joe's LB, which includes migrating to Arbitrum and USDC revenue share for sJOE stakers. They can also go where UniSwap cannot because they are not subject to the Ethereum Foundation.
GammaSwapLabs allows people to hedge IL, earn impermanent returns, and bet on volatility. Their testnet is live now...I'm not sure if that's an incentive.

Option AMMs
I don't think the option vault narrative will disappear in 2023.
Lyra Finance currently on Optimism will be deployed on Arbitrum and use GMX to hedge LP risks.
Other unreleased options AMMs include:
IVX also listed on Arbitrum under the incubation of NeworderDAO,
Orbital from the camp of Dopex and PlutusDAO.

LayerZero Ecosystem
The full-chain alternative token OFT will be adopted by more and more projects, especially stable coins, to achieve cross-chain functions without cross-chain bridges.
Tapioca is what I consider to be a well-structured and well-thought-out project. I admit I'm biased because I'm friends with the team and will invest in it... Nonetheless, this is a project I've been bullish on for a long time, and one of the most bullish projects in 2023.
Another L0 project that has taken a lot of my thinking is Interswap, which allows users to use LayerZero for true permissionless cross-chain swaps. But don't confuse it with Stargate's product, because it is completely different - allowing any available asset to be traded on L0.

LSDs
That's pretty obvious, and with Shanghai's upgrade in March, the track is going to be crowded.

Eigenlayer
I'm still working on it, because there are a lot of doubts here that need to be answered.
stable currency
stable currency
All I can say is keep an eye on GMOTrust...
$ZUSD and $GYEN are going to have a big year.
Other stablecoins including Tapioca DAO's usd 0 , Redactedcartel's $DINERO, Aave's $GHO and CurveFinance's $crvUSD can all be followed.
With all this happening in the stablecoin space, DeFi products that cater to stablecoins are having their day. Y 2k Finance seems like a smart choice for you.
NFTfi
Sudoswap is the first innovative moment I have seen in cryptocurrency in a long time, it achieves a zero-to-one breakthrough. I think the way to get involved in this sector is to allocate small amounts of money among a series of projects that both keep you involved and keep you on track.
Products like Sudoswap and GumBall aProtocol are my personal favorites.
Solana DeFi ushered in a revival, but the top capital disappeared, I will take the other side of people's emotions on this issue...

Fixed Rate and Interest Rate Swaps
Voltz and InverseFinance - Fixed rates are needed in DeFi, but so far, it hasn't been implemented.

encrypted AI
Well... I think AI related projects will pull up and probably be a very accessible narrative for the average person.
Leonardo Ai is one of the coolest projects I think I've ever seen.
