Analysis: Iran is entering a state of "no war, no peace," with the US showing a stronger desire to push for an agreement than Iran.
Odaily Planet Daily News: Rob Guest Pinford, a lecturer in international security at King's College London, stated that as the situation in the Strait of Hormuz stabilizes, Iran seems to be gradually entering what observers call a "no war, no peace" state.
Pinford pointed out: "Currently, Iran's attitude is relatively stable, and it is not in a hurry to return to the negotiating table to seek the lifting of sanctions." He believes that compared to Iran, the United States seems more clearly intent on promoting an agreement, despite Trump's occasional tough rhetoric. "There is a clear contrast in the signals Trump is sending," Pinford said. "On one hand, he frequently makes strong statements about restarting wars and destroying civilizations; on the other hand, he posts that an agreement is within reach."
Meanwhile, discussing the decision-making logic of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Pinford noted that Netanyahu needs to prove that Israel is maintaining a tough stance against Hezbollah in Lebanon, not merely executing Trump's policy intentions. He said: "Netanyahu must show that he is cracking down hard on Hezbollah, not just following Trump's orders." (Jinshi)
