Robinhood CEO urges Trump to relax U.S. "tokenization" regulation
Odaily Planet Daily News: Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev this morning at the White House cryptocurrency conference called on Trump to relax U.S. "tokenization" regulation.
Vlad stated: "Robinhood is using tokenization technology to expand ownership of U.S. assets to users in over 120 countries worldwide. Yet this innovation is reaching overseas investors before it benefits investors here at home, and the opportunity extends far beyond public markets—tokenization will open up markets that have long been out of reach for ordinary investors, including private companies (unlisted companies). In today's market, too much economic value is being created before average investors even have the chance to participate."
Vlad urged: "Innovation and investor protection are not opposing goals. America became the world's capital market leader precisely by balancing both. The SEC and CFTC chairmen seated here also know that it is American companies building this technology, American markets powering it, and American assets at its core. U.S. investors should not be the last to benefit. We look forward to continuing to work together to expand ownership, build the next generation of capital markets, and ensure America stays ahead on this path."
