On October 8, CZ made a rare appearance at the "BNB Super Cycle" AMA hosted by Trust Wallet, sharing the stage with BNB core projects such as Aster, Four.meme, and Pancake.
In the AMA, CZ responded directly to the recent hot topics in the BNB Chain ecosystem and shared his deep judgment and thoughts on the future trends of the crypto industry.
BlockBeats compiled his ten most noteworthy answers, covering the MEME market, Aster's growth, Yzi Labs' investment direction, new opportunities in RWA and AI, and the contemporary significance of "Binance Life."
Q 1: What is the current state of the crypto market?
"Everyone's in hack and war mode." CZ said the current market is a high-pressure war. Project developers barely sleep, constantly trial and error, and quickly launch products. He said this isn't chaos, but rather the "adrenaline of the crypto industry."
Q2: How did BNB Chain grow?
“I didn’t plan it. I just helped people become more successful.” CZ’s metaphor is “a garden, not a skyscraper.” He doesn’t plan, but lets good projects grow naturally.
Launchpad, Trust Wallet, Pancake, Esther’s coin listing team—these formerly independent projects have now become a collaborative ecosystem.
Q3: Is “Binance Life” planned?
CZ responded: "It was totally unplanned. I didn't even expect it to go viral."
He recalled: A few days ago, he saw a post by netizen Lin Wanwan's cat saying "Work hard and enjoy Binance life", and he casually replied "That's Binance Life." In less than a day, this sentence was made into a meme and went viral on the entire Internet.
On the Mid-Autumn Festival, he modified another blessing tweet, and the BNB community exploded instantly, with reposts, duplications, and imitations emerging one after another.
CZ believes that "you can't predict the energy of a community; it's organic." With no budget or marketing, the project resonated with everyone. He sees "Binance Life" as a metaphor for the times—everyone working on the blockchain is living it.
Q4. What are your thoughts on Four.Meme?
CZ mentioned that he recently discussed another issue: the language support for future exchanges, launchpads, and decentralized exchanges should no longer be limited to English and Chinese. More languages should be visible in the ecosystem. “This may be a bit difficult for me personally (laughs),”
But we have to support it. Blockchain is about enabling more people to participate.”
Q 5. About Aster
The Aster project plans to become a multi-chain liquidity aggregation layer that supports multi-asset collateral and will launch a perpetual contract trading function natively integrated with Trust Wallet next week.
CZ believes that DEX growth does not equal competition, but win-win.
“Trading any cryptocurrency is good for BNB.”
He emphasized that BNB Chain's success doesn't rely on competition. "Many people believe that Layer 1s must compete with each other, but that's not the case. When one chain becomes stronger, the entire industry becomes stronger."
Currently, the penetration rate of the crypto world is less than 1%, and the real goal is to make the entire industry bigger.
He also mentioned that Aster's current high trading volume is partly due to the Stage 2 Airdrop, but this is a healthy traffic generation mechanism. The key is whether it can attract real users and institutions to participate.
Q6: About prediction markets like Polymarket
CZ believes that the “prediction market” will be a very large field in the future.
In fact, some people also call it "Event Futures" - any event can become the subject of a contract.
In CZ's opinion, money votes are more persuasive than words votes. The narratives of traditional media or mainstream media have long been inaccurate.
We have seen this in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and even in the last US election – prediction markets often produce results closer to the truth than polls and the media.
This is going to be a huge market, and while it's not big enough now, I think we're just at the beginning of it.
Q7: About RWA and AI
CZ believes that RWA and AI are both very new fields, each with huge potential.
RWA’s vision is that “everything can be tokenized”;
The potential of AI lies in its potential to enable millions of times more transactions than today. AI models will use cryptocurrencies for settlement, collaboration, and even payment.
But in reality, RWA currently faces two major challenges:
1. Liquidity issues:
Not all assets have high volatility or trading demand.
If prices barely fluctuate, the order book becomes thin, further reducing liquidity.
“Without volatility, there is no volume.”
2. Compliance issues:
Different countries have different definitions of RWAs: some consider them to be securities, while others do not.
Is on-chain whitelisting, KYC, or permissioned issuance required?
These legal issues are complex and fragmented.
Q 8: Centralization and decentralization are not contradictory?
CZ added: If user growth in the crypto world stagnates, people will naturally migrate to decentralization;
But the reality is that over 90% of the world's population has yet to use crypto products. "For them, centralized exchanges with email login and customer service support are much simpler."
Therefore: In the short term, CEX will still be the main entrance for Web 2 users; in the long term, decentralization will gradually take over more trading scenarios.
He predicts that the next four years (the next cycle) may be a key turning point in this migration.
“We won’t decentralize overnight, but the trend is irreversible.”
Q9: YziLabs has committed $1 billion in investment. What emerging technologies or directions are you looking for next?
CZ feels that at the moment he is more inclined to "go with the flow".
Now the BNB Chain ecosystem is very strong in areas such as trading liquidity and token issuance, which has almost become the community's gene.
But in terms of AI, it is still relatively weak. In fact, not only BNB, but the entire crypto industry does not have a particularly strong AI + Crypto project. CZ knows that this may offend some AI project teams (laughs),
In general, we invest in all promising sectors, not just one. This is CZ's intuitive assessment of the market.
Q10: US regulation and the future
The host asked, "If there's a change of government in the US next year, will they target you again?"
CZ responded, “The current US administration is very pro-encryption. The previous administration was anti-encryption, and everyone knows that.”
The new government's change of stance is driving a shift in global regulatory attitudes.
“No matter which party is in power in three years, the crypto industry will be too big to turn around.
You can block the Internet, but you can't destroy it.
The same goes for encryption.”
