Hyperliquid announces new fee system and staking tiers will go live on May 5
Odaily Planet Daily News Hyperliquid officially announced that the new fee system and staking levels will be launched at approximately 03:00 (UTC) on May 5. The changes include:
1. Staking HYPE can reduce transaction fees;
2. Perpetual contracts and spot contracts will adopt different handling fee standards;
3. Spot trading volume is doubled when calculating the handling fee level.
The testnet now has the ability to link staking and trading accounts, allowing users to apply a staking discount from one account to another trading account. This feature is expected to be officially launched shortly after the new fee system and staking levels are launched.
IOTA: Rebased network upgrade to be launched on May 5

On May 5, 2025, it will migrate from the Stardust network to the new IOTA network. For IOTA token holders, the Rebased upgrade will be seamless, without the need for token migration. The draft is expected to be similar to the 21st Century Financial Innovation and Technology Act (FIT 21) passed by the House of Representatives last year, which aims to clarify when digital assets will be regulated by the SEC, CFTC, or both. A senior executive of the Blockchain Association said that the draft is 90% similar to FIT 21, but the Trump familys involvement in the encryption field has complicated the legislative work. Former Celsius CEO Alex Mashinskys sentencing to be announced May 8
Odaily Planet Daily reported that U.S. federal prosecutors submitted more than 200 victim statements to the Manhattan Federal Court, accusing Celsius Network founder and former CEO Alex Mashinsky. These statements detail the economic losses and life impacts caused by the collapse of Celsius on users. Mashinsky pleaded guilty in December 2023 to one count of commodity fraud and one count of securities fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. Most victims asked the court to impose the maximum sentence, but a few called for leniency. The company will hold a special shareholders meeting at 22:00 Beijing time on May 9 to discuss the restructuring. The restructuring is expected to be completed in mid-May, and then it will be listed on Nasdaq with the stock code GLXY. Currently, Galaxy Digital is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

TON announced that it will officially shut down Toncoin Bridge on May 10, 2025
