On February 15, modular blockchain infrastructure developer Lava Network announced the completion of a $15 million seed round of financing, with Jump Capital, Hashkey Capital and Tribe Capital co-leading the investment, North Island Ventures, Dispersion Capital, Alliance DAO, Finality Capital Partners Waiting for participation. Executives from blockchain projects such as Celestia, Cosmos, StarkWare and Filecoin also participated in this round of financing.

After Celestia and Dymension successively ignited the popularity of the modular blockchain track, Lava Network, as a new modular data network, has also attracted community attention. While Celestia and Dymension focus on data availability, settlement, and consensus; Rollups also require an access layer, which is exactly what Lava aims to do: allow developers and users to send and retrieve data from any blockchain.

Lava Network is still in testnet and plans to launch the mainnet in the first half of this year. Before the mainnet goes online, Lava launched the “Magma” points reward program. Users can earn Magma points by switching RPC connections to Lava. How to get points?

First, switch the wallet network to a network that supports Lava. It should be noted that currently Lava only provides points to wallet users who use its scaling infrastructure on Ethereum, NEAR, Evmos, Starknet and Axelar. Lava prioritizes blockchains and Rollups that use incentivized public RPC to scale their infrastructure.

The specific steps are as follows:

1. Click on Lava’spoints website: points.lavanet.xyz, you need an invitation code: SKVPL

Then link the wallet, enter the official Discord and follow Twitter. If you don’t want to join and follow, you can also choose to skip this step (Skip for Now)

After completing the above steps, we will enter the following page. Here we choose the network we want to interact with, and the official also gave some invitation codes. 2. We then open the wallet linked in the first step and replace the RPC URL in the wallet with the URL powered by Lava on NEAR, Starknet, Evmos, Axelar and Ethereum

Every time the wallet is opened or used (e.g. checking balance, making transactions, interacting with dapps), the wallet needs to make an RPC call. All you need to do is replace the RPC URL in your wallet with the RPC provided in your Lava Points account.

For specific operations, we take Metamask and Evmos as examples:

1) Open the wallet and go to Settings → Network

2) Select Evmos

3) Replace New RPC URL with the relevant RPC link we provided in the points dashboard: https://evmos.lava.build, and click Save.

3. Earn points by using your wallet and dapps as usual, including anything from simply checking wallet balances and transactions.

Tip: In order to earn more points, it is recommended to try to bind chains that you often interact with. For example, the editor may usually use Cosmos and Ethereum chains more often, so here I will replace these two networks with Lavas RPC URL.

4. After that, you can interact normally and check your points ranking at any time.

5. Also, remember to share your referral code on social media to earn more points

Referrals, rewards and retroactive points

Users can earn points through referrals. You receive 10% of the points earned by users you refer, and this is not deducted from their points.

For example:

You recommend user A, and user A earns 1,000 points every week, then you will earn an additional 100 points every week, while user As total points will not be affected.

Wallet partners:

Anyone who uses Lava with one of Lavas wallet partners will earn bonus points. We will initially work with Sender Wallet on NEAR, with more partners joining in the future.
