Cryptocurrency KOL DylanisCrossed wrote an article analyzing the three major aspects of Berachains technology, culture, and product market adaptability, revealing Berachains uniqueness in EVM compatibility, Polaris operating system, and product market adaptability. Shenchao has compiled the full text of his tweet. Please see below for details:

As a person with more than 5 years of blockchain development experience and many years of speculation experience, I think Berachain is the most important opportunity I have encountered. The following are my views around their technology, culture and product-market fit. .

For starters, Berachain is EVM-compatible L1 based on the Cosmos SDK, allowing for the repurposing of staked assets to provide liquidity, where a validators stake weight is related to the amount of liquidity they provide.

On the technical side

First of all, it is very wise for Berachain to choose to be EVM compatible. Development tools are more advanced than any other and are evolving at an astonishing rate. Foundry, Alloy and Reth are prime examples. EVM is Javascript for Web3, which will facilitate mass adoption.

Berachain is built on Polaris, an EVM operating system substrate built on the Cosmos SDK. Polaris leverages messaging"connect"EVM and Cosmos SDK, separate the construction, processing and storage of program blocks from the execution itself.

Why build another application chain framework?

Merely forking Geth or other EVM frameworks does not add complex logic to the base layer without introducing new attack vectors/breaking compatibility. As weve seen with previous hacks, EVM-ish is simply not enough.

In order to prove its perfect compatibility with EVM, Berachain even did not hesitate to let OP Stack rollup use Berachain as the settlement layer. It worked! This perfect compatibility is crucial for dApp listings and is a key part of my argument.

Polaris also provides protection against common attack vectors such as reentrancy attacks and gas limit vulnerabilities. In addition, you can plug in different components from different clients, increasing client diversity, which is unprecedented in the Cosmos ecosystem.

Polaris also provides a precompiled development kit that allows developers to easily write precompiled programs for the EVM. In contrast, writing precompiled programs in Geth requires low-level EVM experience, is less secure, and takes longer.

Finally, IBC is the most powerful bridging standard in cryptography. The technology is evolving rapidly due to improvements in relay infrastructure, packet forwarding middleware, multi-hop routing, and more. Additionally, ICA and queries allow asynchronous cross-chain composition to create a one-click experience.

Especially as zkIBC gains popularity, I think the Berachain team will benefit greatly from these input improvements. Users and dApps will chase liquidity, and a safe and easy way to transfer assets from Ethereum will be a game changer.

in terms of culture

First, we are faced with a bear-themed project that raised funding at a valuation of $420.69 million.

Berachain’s origins can be traced back to the NFT series Bong Bears launched in August 2021. After 5 releases in April 2022, the team published an article on Medium revealing their plans to create a native protocol.

Berachain’s culture inspires creativity like no other. janitooor is the epitome of Berachain, creating products such as the honey jar (a protocol in the Berachain ecosystem) and Mibera Maker. Ive been following janitooor for a while and Im sure hes a 69 man team.

Although we have seen the rise of memes such as Doge and Shiba, there is no innovation behind these projects. Imagine if a team could"Meme"and"innovation"Combined, what will it be like? This is Berachain, the smartest and most innovative meme ever created in cryptocurrency.

In terms of product market adaptability

Berachain has product market fit. While solving the scalability challenge is critical, the technology is already good enough. dApps are chasing liquidity and users, and that’s exactly what Berachain provides.

If this could be achieved as easily as dragging and dropping your dApp from Eth L1 to Berachain, with minimal overhead, then there would be no reason for major dapps not to try to take advantage of the massive liquidity on Berachain, its that simple.

In the DeFi space, we see every ecosystem launching the same dApp: DEX, Perp, lending, etc., and I think everyone is tired of it.

PoL enables a whole new suite of cryptographic facilities. To name a few: novel derivatives, new options and risk grading, full collateralization via smart accounts, and more. Even the prospect of newer DeFi tools gets me excited.

I didn’t talk about Berachain’s three-token model because that would require a separate tweet to describe. All in all, this model separates gas costs, governance, and the general stablecoin, ultimately mitigating the liquidity fragmentation issues we see in other ecosystems.
