1. Download the launcher;

2. Run the launcher, create a workspace, install "Testnet 3" and join the network;

Step 1: Download the Launcher

Step Two: Run the Launcher

First, you need to run the launcher. Note here that during the creation of the workspace, the running program will prompt you to choose which blockchain to install on, select "Testnet 3".

Secondly, there are certain hardware requirements for running the launcher, as follows:

2 CPU cores
4 GB RAM
40 GB disk space
100 Mbps internet connection bandwidth

Step Three: Become a Validator

1. Prepare the authenticator key

Before proceeding to the next step, you must generate the mnemonic and insert it into the node and wallet of your choice (note: if you already have the menmonic from Testnet 2, you can reuse it). You can use the Enabler to generate the mnemonic and insert it into the node, remember not to lose the mnemonic, because the mnemonic cannot be recovered.

2. Set up wallet

3. Import key

In this step, you need to import the seed phrase as a key into the polkadot.js extension. First, you have to open the extension, then click the "+" button on the menu, as shown in the image below:

Next select "Import accounts from pre-existing keys" and the following dialog will appear:

Follow the dialog box to import the key.

Step 4: Enter the validator list

It is not enough to just register and be certified as a Testnet 3 validator. In Testnet 3, you need to go through the following steps to become a "real" validator:

1. Register on the Internet - do this on your phone after scanning the QR code;

2. Obtain Token token – use Telegram robot to accesshttps://t.me/HumanodeTestnet3FaucetBot；

3. Set the node key - note that this step needs to be completed through the mobile phone;

4. Perform verification - again this needs to be done via mobile phone.

After entering the resource manager, navigate to Developer -> Chain state -> session -> validators(), and click the "+" button on the right, as shown in the following figure:

If your address is on the list, congratulations, you are a validator! If you don't see yourself on the list, please wait two sessions (one session within 10 minutes) and check again.
