With the passing of the Polkadot 60 referendum, the relay chain has been upgraded to runtime v9190, and XCM has been officially launched! This means that parachains on Polkadot can exchange and collaborate freely! And will not be subject to the risk of cross-chain bridges! As of the time of writing, the Polkadot 61st referendum has been voted through! The referendum proposal aims to reduce the deposit amount for opening the HRMP channel of the parachain to 10DOT. Parachain teams on Polkadot can start creating HRMP channels and interact with each other!

An upgrade to Runtime (v9190) that also allows transferring DOTs from the relay chain to Statemint and creating assets on Statemint. As of this writing, a total of 14 assets have been issued on Statemint! Please note that creating an asset on Statemint requires a minimum deposit of 100 DOT and an additional 3DOT for metadata. So at least 103 DOT must be deposited into your Statemint account to create assets!
Polkadot’s 16th slot auction ended at around 3:00 am on May 7, and Polkadex led the entire candle period and won this auction.
It is expected that the 17th Polkadot Auction will start at around 2 am on May 12! The crowdloan currently active on the Polkadot network includes Geminis, Bifrost, Kapex, Coinversation, and OriginTrail.
Polkadot Referendum 59 has been voted through! This referendum proposal aims to help the Phala parachain restart.
Bifrost(Kusama) won Kusama's 34th slot Auction.
Kusama's 35th Slot Auction will end on May 9th around 4am. As of the time of writing, Shiden has led the entire candle period!
Note that the latest runtime (v9190) adds the ability for parachains to replace leases themselves, so future parachain migrations will not need to be done through governance.
