If your smart contract is on-chain, but it relies on a third-party centralized API for its data, it is as secure as the integrity of the API. Tens of millions of dollars cannot be vulnerable hostages.

Why Umbrella Network Created a $15M Accelerator Program
Decentralized oracles should play a key role in running smoother operations in the wider blockchain ecosystem — helping to secure millions of transactions without fear of price manipulation attacks.
Companies looking to put data on-chain, whether crypto-native or traditional, often face unrealistic costs, complex data requirements, security gaps, and more. Decentralized oracles are designed to meet the requirements of innovative dApps, but many of today's oracles are slow, expensive, and have limited data.
Umbrella's Ecosystem Accelerator Program aims to alleviate the aforementioned problems by dedicating resources to projects requiring new and exciting oracle use cases. Companies from various industries, whether it is Metaverse, DeFi, tradFi, advertising, gaming, enterprise software, e-commerce, insurance, real estate, sports, entertainment, etc., are invited to apply.
Who can or cannot apply for the Ecosystem Accelerator? The answer is that there are no restrictions. We will review applicants on a case-by-case basis, especially with regard to how your project intersects with large amounts of data. If your project is selected, you will have access to guidance and resources from the Umbrella Network team as well as other accelerator members and Umbrella partners. We can't wait to hear from you and we'll let everyone know when they roll out.
