Chain Key Technology (chain lock technology) is the core of the Internet computer protocol and is a set of special edge cryptographic systems developed by DFINITY. The most unique aspect of chain lock technology is that it allows Internet computers to have a single public key, which can verify information about that single public key sent from other computers.

Chain lock technology gives Internet computers a huge advantage over other blockchain projects, because verifying all messages is a public key of only 48 bytes, while other projects may require 400GB of data.
