Insiders: Nvidia's Jensen Huang Backs Marvell-Lumentum $100 Billion Merger

Odaily reports: Sources say that the heads of Marvell Technology (MRVL.O) and Lumentum secured the support of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang before finalizing the nearly $103 billion merger deal. Marvell CEO Matt Murphy and Lumentum CEO Michael Hurlston spoke with Huang by phone ahead of the deal's announcement to seek his opinion.

Hurlston said earlier on Monday: "I think Nvidia's reaction was very positive. We believe that through this merger, we can more quickly provide Nvidia with a more diversified product offering." This is the second-largest merger in tech history, and Huang's endorsement highlights Nvidia's active push, as an AI leader, to promote consolidation among its key suppliers.
