Holding 150,000 BTC, Tether's Global Users Exceed 730 Million

Odaily Report: Paolo Ardoino stated in a speech at the Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano that Tether holds approximately 150,000 BTC, has over 730 million global users, and adds about 30 million wallets per quarter. Tether's Q3 reserve attestation report shows that it directly holds approximately $122.8 billion in U.S. Treasury bonds, or about $132.4 billion when repurchase agreements are included, with excess reserves reaching $7.95 billion.

Ardoino also introduced Tether's Independence Stack strategy, which plans to use open-source technology to build an infrastructure system covering energy, Bitcoin mining, peer-to-peer communications, self-custodial wallets, and local AI. He stated that even if Tether ceases to exist in the future, its open-source technology should be able to continue operating.
