Holding approximately $449 million in Bitcoin, NXTT authorized to sell or pledge in batches
Odaily Report: Nasdaq-listed software company Next Technology Holding (NXTT) stated that its board of directors has authorized the sale or pledging of its approximately 5,833 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $449 million, in batches. The company cited considerations including the Binance hacking incident, exchange vulnerabilities, and the potential threat posed by quantum computing to Bitcoin's cryptography; none of the company's Bitcoin is held on Binance. CEO Weihong Liu will determine the timing, price, and scale of transactions. The authorization covers sales on exchanges, privately negotiated transactions, and Bitcoin-collateralized financing, but there is no guarantee that transactions will be completed. Most of the company's Bitcoin came from the acquisition of 5,000 Bitcoin in March 2025, with total consideration of $158.1 million, including shares, warrants, and cash advances, equivalent to approximately $31,600 per coin.
