Hoodi Testnet Glamsterdam Upgrade Postponed, New Activation Date TBD
Odaily reports: The Ethereum Foundation has announced that the Glamsterdam upgrade, originally scheduled for October 27 (Epoch 132,352) on the Hoodi testnet, has been postponed to allow further study of the interaction effects between EIP-8037 and mainnet smart contracts. A new activation date has not yet been determined. The Amsterdam execution layer activation, Gloas consensus layer activation, and the plan to raise the Hoodi gas limit to 200 million—all originally scheduled for the same period—have been canceled. This adjustment only withdraws the configuration for future upgrades and will not roll back Hoodi's on-chain history.
