Appeal Granted: Dispute Over Property Rights to Over 60,000 Bitcoins in Qian Zhimin Case Leads to New Litigation
Odaily reports: Four days after ruling that Chinese law applies to the dispute over property rights to more than 60,000 bitcoins in the Qian Zhimin case, the UK High Court held another hearing and granted permission for approximately 16,000 Chinese victims involved in the UK recovery effort to appeal the October 12 ruling on applicable law. Lawyers for the parties also discussed issues including the litigation costs of the prior dispute over applicable law, whether the approximately 16,000 individual claimants will continue their recovery efforts, and how they may withdraw.
