US SEC Chairman Atkins: Hopes to Bring Stock Market Onchain, Financial System Is Moving Toward a Crypto Era

Odaily reported that U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins, in a live interview with CNBC, said he hopes to push the stock market toward onchain operations and stated that the entire financial system is moving toward Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The SEC has previously introduced an "innovation exemption" allowing eligible trading venues to conduct onchain trading of tokenized U.S. stocks.
