Malone Lam, 22-Year-Old Singaporean, Pleads Guilty in $245 Million Case

Odaily News – Malone Lam, a 22-year-old Singaporean also known by the alias "Greavys," has pleaded guilty to one federal count of conspiracy to commit extortion, involving $245 million. Prosecutors allege that Lam organized a transnational "social engineering" network that stole victims' crypto assets through methods including fake customer service scams, database intrusions, and hardware wallet theft. Co-defendant Evan Tangeman was sentenced to 70 months in prison in April of this year for money laundering. Lam faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, with a sentencing hearing scheduled for December 8.
